Where Does Randy Moss end up? (1 Viewer)

Anybody have any ideas where Randy Moss will end up?

There is little doubt now that Moss will not be with the Raiders in 2007.

I was pretty sure he was going to go to GB until the Packers took a WR in the 3rd round. There was speculation here in NE that it was just about a done deal with GB. Then it seems something happened that made GB take a wr with a fairly high choice.

According to Michael Smith the Patriots offered a conditional third round pick in 2008. Smith felt Al Davis was trying to get something better than that, but that offer seems to be more than what the Packers have on the table at the moment.

Smith also made mention of a third (as of yet unknown team) that has serious interest in Moss. Some people have speculated that team is the San Diego Chargers.

It will be interesting to see where Moss lands.

To me Sand Diego and New England make more sense than GB. Why would a rebuilding team like GB have any interest in a 30 year old head case like Moss esepeically after using a high draft choice on a wr and all ready having two very good starting wr's on the roster?

New England also went out and picked up three wr's (Donte Stallworth,Wes Welker and Kelly Washington) in the off season. Do they really want or need this cancer? On the other hand the offer they made was a legit offer. If you had asked me 24 hours ago I would have said there was no chance of Moss coming to NE. Now I would say there is a 30% chance.

If San Diego is indeed the other team it would make a lot of sense for them. Moss would make this already solid offense scary. It is worth the risk for the Chargers to give up a #2 pick to go and get one of the most explosive wr's in NFL history. They are very thin at wr. They also have the most to gain by acquiring Moss. Even though he could be a cancer.

It's hard to say at the moment (we don't have all the facts) but if I were betting I'd say Moss end's up in San Diego, or New England.

non-Patriot fans are going to PUKE when Randy Moss gets traded today to New England. Id expect the Pats to give up 3 or 4 early-mid 2nd day picks to get Moss, then re-structure his deal to fit him into their cap. New England doesnt have a ton of glaring needs at any one position, so the 9 day 2 picks they have will better serve a young team like Oakland. Trading for Mike Williams all but seals the deal on a Moss deal. The guy is going somewhere...at this point Id say New England is by far the most likely destination.

I wonder why it didn't happen yesterday if it was going to happen?

Last I heard the Patriots offered a 6 and the Packers offered a 4th for next year. The Patriots are sitting on a HUGE amount of late round picks this year they can throw in.BUT it comes down to the contract. Moss goes where he wants. The Patriots won't pay him 10 mil per year.

According to the Boston Herald the Patriots thought they had the a deal for Moss locked up last night but the Raiders backed out.The article goes on to say the deal still may get done.
