Where is Reggie Bush Going? (1 Viewer)

His ADP has been all over the place this preseason, topping out in the high teens after his breakout preseason game. Since then, expectations have aligned more with reality, but his ADP still seems high. Most recent projections have him going right around 20. I could definitely get him at #30, but I'd love to see him drop and then snag him around #40 overall. What is everyone seeing out there in draft land?

I drafted him at number 29 in a 12 team league of sharks. I drafted him at number 10 in a local 12 teamer with some unique rules.

He was drafted at 33 overall in my 12 team league and the 23rd RB selected and this was yesterday. I chose to stay away from him in the third round and get a top WR

I went with him at 4.03 in a 10 team redraft league, as my 3rd running back behind Rudi "Don't Fail" Johnson & "Free Willie" Parker....

We're pretty much a high performance league so I'm overjoyed if he breaks off for long runs.

This all sounds about right to me...29, 30, 33. This is why I don't get the ADP of 20. But I'm with you walkwithme, pick up a top WR in the 3rd and then cross your fingers in the 4th.

That's exactly what I did - went 1.08 - Rudi J, 2.03 - Willie Parker, 3.08 - Randy Moss, 4.03 - Reggie....I'm hoping it's not too painful going with him instead of Chester Taylor or Deshaun Foster, but I wanted a little bit of excitement on my team...

Depends on the format. Redraft = He sould go around 8-10 overall in PPR leagues. and around 20th overall in other leagues.

Dont sleep on him, he will be the next great player in the NFL. In keeper/dynasty leagues I would do what ever it takes to get this kid on my team. He is a top 5 overall pick in these formats.

Nice work! Unfortunately, I pick a lot later in the 4th. And if he's not there I'll settle for Droughns, Taylor, Foster.

two leagues:

1) went 38th (drafted about 10 days ago)

2) went 14th (drafted 3 days ago)

didn't get him in either league (although i would have gone for him in league 1 if he'd fallend to my next pick).

Sorry, i'm not buyin him as a top 10 player. In a PPR league, he would need 1800 total yds, 14 TDs, and 50 Rcpts to be top 10 (using my league stats from last year). Just dont see it this year...great player, but not yet IMO.as far as his ADP, there is usually someone who will draft him way too high, and i wouldnt touch him until 3rd or 4th rounds

I don't know with the new custom cheatsheet update and my scoring system he dropped a lot.

Yesterday in the 6th spot

I got Steven Jackson (he also went down)

Steve Smith with the 19th pick

And Reggie with the 30th pick passing on Holt. My thinking was he and smith have bum hammys so I wanted a guy with a little upside.

but now I think it was the wrong way. still could have gotten Taylor in the 4th

Jackson

Smith

Holt

Taylor

Or

Jackson

Smith

Bush

Driver

Wow Why???

Anyone

Yeah sounds like you made out pretty good by getting Bush in the 4th. I guess the ADP of 20 is based off of PPR not sure of that. Since my league doesn't have PPR I have him ranked in the mid 20's. After he broke off the 44yd run his stock rose and there were a couple threads on here about if you want him you have to take him in the 2nd round. I also forgot to mention this was a redraft

14th pick out of 14 in my PPR money league today.

1.14 westbrook rb12

2.01 bush rb13

3.14 driver

4.14 roy williams

5.01 mike bell

6.14 ahman green

might be a boom or bust sort of team, but in PPR after LT and Tiki, I don't think there are better ppr backs than westbook and bush

Droughns and Kevin Jones were my other options there, but I don't like droughns upside in a ppr league and KJ + Martz is too scary there imo

pinking on the end, if you want the guy you have to take him there. he isn't making it back to you

Yeah Taylor would have most likely fell to you. He has such a bad rep of getting injured so no one wants any part of him. In my redraft yesterday he fell to the 6th round. This is what I did yesterday for the first couple of picks:S JacksonR DroughnsM HarrisonJ LewisSantana MossA Green

The Taylor most are referring to is Chester Taylor, not Fred.

That's 314 points. That would have ranked him 5th last year.

I got him for $31 in my auction league ($200 cap). You can see my team in sig line. He was valued at $52 according to VBD spreadsheet.

I got him at 6.3 in a league last week, pretty decent value there. Was thinking of grabbing Brady there but figured I could always use another RB :)

With Deuce still having legs I just don't see Reggie being a top 15 even in PPR. He has the upside to hit that mark but I am not comfortable the low opportunities.

12 team redraft & I had #10: Westbrook went 1.09 & I took SJax 1.10. 2 QB's & 2WR went around horn. I got Edge at 2.03 then Reggie went 2.04.

Westbrook & Reggie together could carry a team to championship, but with a lot of if's. Low $ guppy league I would be willing to take it, but with serious cash out there; I want consistent opportunities and more stability. I will take the risks with the middle to late picks.

12 team redraft (1 keeper) PPR league - With L. Johnson as starter (keeper), I couldn't resist Bush @ 3.3; and was still able to snag Westbrook next turn @ 4.10 :)

Don't see him as top 15 in PPR? I know this topic has been beat to death, but I'd like to share the following:1. The Saints will be behind, early and often this season. Brees with the weak arm, and Stallworth gone Reggie will get at least 4 catches per game out of the backfield. I can see some weeks where he gets near 8 catches, but think an average of 4 is almost a given. The O Line sucks and Brees will not have time to sit in the pocket waiting on Horn to get open. Dumpoffs will be a huge part of the season.2. In very limited action this preseason, guess who led the Saints in catches? Correct, Reggie Bush had 10 catches playing about 1/3 of 4 games. Does that mean he would have had 30? I doubt that many but I suspect that there will be some 4 game stretches where he does get 30.3. I wonder who caused the Saints to sell all those tickets? Uh, yea the home town wants to see Reggie Bush and the Saints will generally suck so the crowd will be a big reason Bush will get a bunch of work.4. Last (and this is where there is some debate), i maintain is one of the 5 most talented RBs in the league. Westbrook was plugging along at the #3 RB in our PPR league last year before he got hurt. Any doubt that Bush has as much talent as Westbrook?Last, predictions: 180/750/5 TD Rush 68/700/5 TD Rec ============= About 268 points :banned:

for my upcoming draft, I presently have him ranked 4th overall. I'm sure I'll adjust this a little bit, but here's my reasoning: PPR, and return yards count just as much as running/recieving yards. The way I see it, 2000 total yards is not out of the question if you consider return yards as well.

Also - recently drafted at 2.11 in a 14 team PPR return yards count (but less than regular yards) league.

Would you guys definitely take him over a S Jax, Ronnie Brown, Rudi Johnson or Portis in a high performance PPR keeper league?

I landed Bush in Rd3. I had the 3rd pick.LT1st, then P.manning and Bush in the 3rd.

12 team redraft

ppr

Hope he is ok with Mccallister still around..

Bush went at #19 overall last night in our 12 team, redraft, 1/2PPR league (RB13).

Last weekend, I got him for $19 in a $140 auction league - same 12 team, 1/2PPR.

I guess these are pretty close to his ADP.

33rd in a 10 team [REDRAFT, ppr]

23rd in a 12 team by me (he would have went 24th had I not taken him) [REDRAFT, ppr (keep 1 - after the 4th) so really 25th overall since only two 1st & 2nd rounders kept]

24th in a 16 team by me (19th RB off the board) [REDRAFT, not a ppr]

You need to reach a little in order to ensure you get him

He went 2.6 in my 12 team redraft league. I have yet to see him last to the 3rd round, but I guess it depends on your league rules, etc.

Same situation for me (14-team ppr), except we can only carry 4 RBs. I went:1.14 ssmith 2.1 bush rb (rb13)Westbrook and McGahee were still out there, but in a PPR, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping Bush sees a ton of targets (just don't trust Westbrook to stay healthy). I also ended up w/ MBell and RWilliams.

while ADP is important it is totally dependent on scoring rules - a better metric would be how many RB's were selected before him.

He's been going in the 2nd round in my drafts. That was a week agaon. 2.09 or so in 12 teamers. Depends on scoring though. One league gives 2 points per reception.

I took him at the 13 in my redraft PPR league. It was early, but the only other RBs I would have taken were Willie Parker and McGahee. I got McGahee on the way back down so it worked out okay.

Could be a mistake, but I decided to swing for the fences.

Here ya go...my leagues top 10 in '05:1 - SA 395 pts2 - LT 3953 - Tiki 3844 - LJ 3805 - Carson 3716 - Smith 3477 - MAnning 3438 - Brady 3389 - Edge 32610 - Fitz 314Correct, 314 points and #10 in my league last year.

He went 2.11 in my draft last week. I wouldn't have drafted him that high. Especially in our league which is mostly a TD league where all TDs are worth the same and we give little points for yards. Our league is a little different where you only have to start 1 RB and 1 WR and then you have 2 flex positions where you can use a RB,WR,or TE. We also do not have waiver wire pick ups so you have to go all the way through the season with all the players you drafted. With the start only 1 RB you don't necessarily need two top tier RBs to win but it is greatly helpful. I kind of went away with the draft 2 top RB mentality as I had the 11th pick in a 14 team league and looked to shore up my WR and QB depth as other players were selecting mediocre level RBs. I really wanted Rudi J with my 1st round pick but ended up with Steven Jax. I would have drafted FWP if he had been available in the 2nd round but I ended up with Harrison and then drafted accordingly with my intentions to solidy my WR and QB depth since I only need to really start 1 RB. My other RB's are not bona fide starters but Steven Jax doesn't have a bye till week 7 and hopefully by then some RB positions will be settled.

Here is my team. It is a 14 team league with 17 selections. All TDs are worth the same and we get minor bonuses for yardage gained.

QB: CPep, Favre, Frye

RB: StevenJax, Duece, Maroney, Henry

WR: Harrison, Burress, Reg Brown, Jurevicious, Stokley, and Randle El

TE: McMichael

D: Washington

K: Tynes, Hall

Took him in both my leagues (14-teams). One league, standard scoring, non-PPR, got him at 3.02.

My other league which is ppr as well as pts for return yards, I took him at 2.12.

Edit: First draft was Wed 8/30, other draft was yesterday 9/2.

i drafted him in the 2nd round in two drafts one was a ppr. i'm rolling the dice with him since i knew i could pick up droughns/c.taylor/dunn in the 3rd

He is going way , way too high in most draft.

He had a bad pre-season and does nt look like anything special ( just like Addai)

I say Deuce keeps the starting job and Bush becomes more of a WR than a RB . Remember Eric Mt Calf.

Correct that is one of the reasons I went with Bush over Holt in the 3rd. because the first 18 out of 29 picks were RB. Foster.Taylor were there but I didn't think any of them would make it back. The Holt pick would be ok if I knew I could get another starter but there was a lot of value in WR.Getting Driver feels good in the 4th

2.1 - 14 team 3-player keeper with 0.5 PPR (sharks).

2.5 - 12 team redraft (sharks).

3.4 - 10 team redraft (mix).

2.2 - 18 team redraft (mix - mostly gups).
