Remember the talk a mere two weeks ago about benching Saints players going up against the "mighty" Redskin pass D? Yes, they were number 1 in yardage allowed at the time, but then again, the opponents were usually leading the Redskins, and didn't need to throw. Here's where they are now:

5th in pass yardage allowed

17th in QB rating against

16th in yards/attempt against

Clearly, if teams NEED to throw or want to against them, they can. The coverage last night was horrendous.

thats the problem with those "stats" very misleading, they were #1 in passing D probably because people ran the ball down their throats and didnt pass alot.

And they didn't play a lot of top notch passing teams. Man, these guys spouting off about this pass D and that pass D have no clue. Playing hacks like Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis, KC and Oakland will pad your defensive passing stats. Orton owned them until he got hurt. Eli embarrassed them.

I hate to be the one who finally pulls the curtain back, but that thread was sort of a joke. I don't think anyone actually thought that you should bench Drew Brees or Marques Colston just because they were playing against the Redskins. If I remember correctly, the OP was posted in a joking manner, something about certain "facts" that didn't really make much of a point.It was a And bringing it up two weeks later kinda makes you the prize catch.
