Which 2 Keepers (Lamb, LaPorta, ASB, Hurts)? (1 Viewer)

  • League Type: 10 team league and must keep 2 every year.
  • Scoring: .5 ppr, bonus 2 points on long tds over 40 yards, bonus 2 pts for 200 yard rush or receive games or 400 yard passing.
  • Starting Lineup: 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, 3 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 1K, 1D
I draft 1.10, 2.1 etc. Possible keepers and the pick I would lose for keeping them:
  • Lamb (1.10)
  • ASB (3.10)
  • Hurts (6.1)
  • LaPorta (15.10)
Combinations I am mulling over:

  1. Keep Lamb and ASB - Two stud starters but get to the end of the 5th with either 1RB/3WR or 2RB/2WR
  2. Keep Lamb and LaPorta - Two studs to start at QR and TE. Come away from round 4 with 5 players
I dont think keeping ASB and LaPorta is a good option. I am also of the opinion that not keeping Lamb is a terrible idea unless he holds out because I wont get that value at 1.10 if I send him back to the draft. Both ASB and Lamb will be drafted ahead of my 1.10/ 2.1 picks should I drop either one.

Who would you keep and why?

Your reasoning is good. CeeDee and ARSB for sure. I LOVE the Laporta pick value but odds are if you really want him you could get him at 2.1 to add to those awesome receivers.

Why not keep Laporta and Lamb and then grab ARSB at 2.1. Then you still have a 3rd round pick to grab someone else. With your way, he would have those 3 players locked up in the first 3 rounds. My way and he has them locked up but still has round 3 to pick someone else.

I would LOVE to do that but I don’t see any way he would be there at 2.1 in a regular league let alone a keeper league I already know Lamb is gone from. I would rather guarantee lamb and ARSB for a 1 and a 3 then get Laporta or someone else at 2.1.

I guess it depends on what the other people's options are in the first round. If it looks like there are others that might be frozen, then those are picks that could not get him before 2.1. It's a little bit of a gamble though.

It's just hard to pass on that value of Laporta in the 15th round.

Agree, but St Brown for a 3rd is also a great value.

If this was my team I’d keep ARSB and Laporta and draft at 1.10 and 2.1 but that wasnt one of the options asked about.

No way ARSB makes it to 2.1.

Best available players in the 1st round are:

Jefferson
Chase
Barkley
Kelce
Etienne
AJ Brown
G Wilson
D Henry
Whoever I dont keep.

6 picks in the first round before it gets to my 2.1. If I drop Lamb, he is top of the list. If I drop ARSB, he will go in the first 6. If I dump Lamb and keep ARSB, I pick two of the above. If I keep lamb, I pick one of the above. I still have a problem keeping ARSB and LaPorta (too many eggs in the same basket)..

Personally I wouldn't mind the smoothed production when it's that solid. Always if one misses a game or two the bump the other will receive may blunt the dropped off to the replacement.

That said, slim edge to ARSB and Lamb.
