Which back-up QB is most likely to gain starting role? (1 Viewer)

I am drafting in a deep, start 2 QB draft-n-go league and all the starting QBs are off the board. Not suprising, since each team really needs 3 and there are no waivers or trades.

Which backup should I go after? Who is likely to get the most playing time, whether through merit or injury of the starter?

I think that the Raiders will start Derek Carr at some point in time this season, and the Bucs may turn to Mike Glennon to have a second look to see if he can be their QB of the future.

Based on Lockers' injury history and lack of good production (though he's had his moments), I'd say Mettenberger is a guy to keep an eye on once he's 100% healthy and fighting for the backup job. He's a statue who needs to work on consistency, but he can sling it.

I'll second the Glennon suggestion. If Tampa isn't in the thick of the playoff race at some point, I think Glennon gets an extended audition.

Manziel, and its not close. He'll get his chance for sure.

Bridgewater may start the season so I did not count him, but he is a good suggestion, too.

Shaun Hill. Bradford has an injury history, Hill has played well in relief for a couple of teams.

Not many biting on Michael Vick getting a chance to start. Why might that be?

I'm not sure if Bridgewater really qualifies here. He's already splitting time with the 1s and may win the job in camp. My guesses would be.

Glennon - McCown is the suck and TB will find this out quickly IMO. If they lose some games early on I think they make the switch.

Carr - Oak will play this guy at some point.
