You have a magical, one-time portal to the future. You can watch either the Presidential Debate in 2300, The Grammys of 2300 or The Superbowl of 2300 (whatever the roman numerals are) right now. Which one and why?

debate. I don't watch the grammys now so why would I want to do that in the future. SB might be ok, though the halftime show will be horrible (as they are now) I think the debate will at least be comical.

Presidential debate will probably be sociopath vs parliament selected candidate or the corpse of Trump vs the corpse of Biden. Been there, done that.

Serious answer is the debate, because that way I could at least get a glimpse into how society is going and how history has played out. Admittedly, it would probably be very hard to follow.

I would have little idea what they are talking about in the debate. It would go over my head. I would mostly just be watching a few people on stage (presumably).

I’d likely dislike the music at the Grammys as I’d be unfamiliar with the artists and the many, many generations of artists that influenced them.

If the Super Bowl was still a major cultural event in 2300 (I doubt it will be) I guess that would be most interesting. Not only for the sport but the spectacle of it all. I picked this one.

Please take this well thought out and nuanced post elsewhere.

The superbowl would be touch football by then.

More likely the Super Bowl will have been replaced by the Professional Slap Fighting championship as the dominant sporting event in the US, and instead of the Grammys, all forms of entertainment other than Slap Fighting will be on the 24 hour Ow, My Balls! network.

Since I never watch the Grammy's now and I can't really remember the last debate I watched it is an easy choice to go with the Super Bowl.

My theory is we will have been a few centuries into a wave of "diverse" presidents. We will have had our "first" for every possible category - female, Hispanic, Asian, LGBTQ (every. single. acronym.), and even a president who identifies as an inanimate object. In 2300, a white male candidate will emerge, and be viewed as so novel and new that he will be elected in a landslide for being so "different."

I only watch the Superbowl now out of those 3 . So by default I chose "you can only choose one"

Poll screw-up aside, I really thought Grammys would have the most votes. Kinda stunned that it isn't winning by a landslide. What would the "instruments" even look like? Would it be one guy making full band sounds on his ring or something?

Obviously most people don't watch the Grammys now. Why would they in the future.
