I'm in a Keeper League and I have to choose between WR's Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson.
Who should I keep?
Larry Fitzgerald
Pros
Larry is one of the elite WR in the NFL
Larry will continue to be a Red Zone monster, but will Arizona move the ball under Leinart
They play in the NFC West
They are playing the AFC West
Cons
Larry's production under Leinart is abysmal. Under Warner is was 12.5 ppg under Leinart it is 5.8 ppg
Leinart has only thrown 14 TD's total in his 30 appearances ...
Even with Warner last year, Larry's production took over a 4 ypc drop
Larry's ability for 80+ yards in a game dropped to nearly 1/2 of his career average last year!
Larry has been incredibly fortunate with his health and he has only missed 4 games in 5 years in the NFL
I'm not convinced that Breaston will relieve the double team pressure that Boldin did
Calvin Johnson
Pros
He had a 50% success rate for 80+ yard games last year with a rookie QB. This was up from his career average of 40%.
He is a monster on the field MEGATRON
The Detroit Offense should be much improved this year with Stafford's command of their schemes and his ability to read opposing Defenses
Additional WR support should release him from constant double teams
Cons
He is playing on the Lions ... in a division with at least two significant Defenses [Minnesota & Green Bay] and if Peppers can re-ignite the Bears that's 6 tough games!
They play the NFC East & New England ...
He seems to have trouble staying healthy, and even though he has toughed it out and played through injured & in pain, his performance has suffered
