They are both going to have to drop a lot in drafts before I pull the trigger.

1105 & 6 for Rod in '05.

1023 & 6 for Jimmy in '05.

Added competition and another year on the calendar should bring them both to the 900 & 4 range. They'd be hard pressed to be counted on even as a WR3, IMO. Thoughts?

Fair point.I've talked myself out of drafting either of them. Guess that's shortsighted. Still, if they drop far enough so that they represent GREAT value, I'll hook it up.

I think Jimmy is pretty much toast but Rod has another reasonably productive season in him.

You're kind of forgetting the "85 receptions" stat. 85, 1105, 6...not too shabby for a #3 WR in a PPR league!

I had Rod Smith in my dynasty last year and he was great. He was even strong enough to keep me afloat while Boldin was injured.

I would pass on Jimmy Smith though. Lots of youth around him too.

For years I've been bearish on Jimmy and that continues this season. Always bullish on Rod. I trust his offense more than the Jags O as well.

I like Rod. Even with any added WRs, Rod will get his. The Broncos do not have a big time, pass catching TE. None of the RBs in the stable are huge threats out of the backfiel. This leads me to believe that there will be plenty of balls to go around for the WRs.
