I normally root for the team with the least obnoxious fans. That takes out the Jets and Vikings.Between the Colts and Saints, I'm going with the Saints. (that Gianmarco guy may sway me back the other way though)
:bag: Agree with everything here, except I wouldn't mind seeing Manning win another... Definitely not the Jets or Vikings, and a few of the Saints fans on here seem a little obnoxious.

Saints, it's New Orleans, Brees seems like a good guy, I don't want Favre to win. I'll also cheer for the Colts although I may find myself swayed to the Jets, I can't help but like Peyton for all he does for the city but I do like a good underdog.

Next weekend will be fun.

I don't think the Jets deserve it and I don't have any affinity for the Colts.

I hope the NFC team wins.

lol, thanks. The funny thing is that I was in the other thread posting how classless it was for some Saints fans to post their arrogance. But good to know I've got some influence on who you root for :lmao:

The Vikings. If they aren't gonna win it all, then I hope they lose to NO and the Saints take it. NO fans are also long-suffering folks and I'd like to see them get one. Although, as a Vikings fan I definitely would rather have Minnesota hoisting the trophy.

Vikings fan since the '70's. Colts fan since they moved to Indy. So a Minn-Ind SB would be great for me, with the Vikings getting their first SB victory.

In the AFC match up I have someone to root against. I think the Jets have absolutely no business in the AFC Championship game. I think they didn't even belong in the playoffs. Often there is a team that doesn't belong, that gets a number of lucky breaks, and ends up going much further than they should. This year that team is the Jets. So I want the best team from the AFC in the Super Bowl, and it isn't the Jets.

I'm rooting for the Saints. Would love to see this team finally get over the hump. I'd also love to D. Sharper get a ring along with Brees.

The SB I'd like to see would be NO/Indy. It would be fun to watch 2 elite QBs playing for it all and quite simply I think they've been the best 2 teams all along.

New Orleans and it's not even close. The SB party could carry right on through to Jazzfest.

I would have some pretty happy nephews back in Indiana if the Colts won but deep down I think they'd rather have the Pacers win the NBA title.

So you want the Jets to win? Will wholeheartedly agree that the Jets going to Miami will take away from some of the theatrics of the event (i.e. low scoring, ball control, etc.). That being said, Jets fans don't give a damn.

Vikings / Jets would be a very interesting matchup. #2 Run D vs. #1 Rushing O, Vikes great passing game Vs. Jets amazing pass D, Vikes pass rush against rookie QB.

I'll take a Colts win over the Saints, please. I selfishly don't want the Saints to get a trophy before we do.

Don't know how people can say the Jets don't deserve to be in the AFC championship. They qualified for the playoffs, they beat Cinn, they beat SD. They deserve to be there.

Of course they deserve to be there. People are nuts. I like Peyton Manning, so I'll be happy with Colts not subjecting us to a snoozefest Super Bowl with the Jets. And NOLA is an awesome place that has never won a title and been through a lot in recent years, so I guess I will pull for the Saints in the NFC.

Here's how it shakes out for me personally (in order of rooting interest):

Saints - I usually have some rooting interesting in the team that has never won it or never been there before. I admire Brees as a player and what little I know of him as a person.

Vikings - They were my preseason pick to win it all, so I would love to be right. I used to really like Favre, but he makes it harder and harder to root for him every year with all of his prima donna crap.

Jets - I guess I love the irony if they were able to beat the Colts, seeing they wouldn't even have made the playoffs if the Colts hadn't laid down.

Colts - If they made it to the SB, I would be happy for them, but the only reason I would really feel good about it is because it would shut up the growing number of insufferable jagoff Jets fans on this board.

rooting for Jets vs Saints.

I think the jets have a better shot against NO than they do against Minn. The Vikings are the more phsyical team.

While the jets already lost to NO, it was in the super dome and Sanchez basically threw the game away (3 picks and lost a fumble, 2 of which went back for TD's). The saints only scored one offensive TD.

With the way the jets are playing, i think they could hang on a neutral field. (at least better than they could against the Vikings)

I hope it's a Saints/Jets Super Bowl, because I want to watch the Jets beat the two teams that laid down for them at the end of the regular season, and more importantly, I don't want to listen to the constant Brett Favre coverage that there will be if the Vikings win and all of the questions about whether or not it'll be Favre last game... again.

 Yes, I want that graphic of "teams that have not won/been in the SB" to shrink one more time. Just for Bill Ford.

I want the Saints for obvious reasons but if for some reason we lose next week the I would pull for the Vikings over whatever AFC team is there. Hopefully I will be pulling for my own in the Superbowl though.

I felt the exact same way when you guys went, so I can respect this.

I was rooting for the Colts and Saints, but screw the Colts. They rested their starters, now I hope the Jets turn around and ##### slap them. (...Said the bitter Browns fan from '07)

I root against dooshiness. I just remember reading a few comments by you and the thought of a Saints fan being arrogant and cocky as you were portraying made me chuckle.

I'm rooting for the Vikings since Favre is one of my all-time favorite NFL players, and I'd like to see him get another Super Bowl win at his age. If they lose to the Saints, I'll be rooting for the Saints in the Super Bowl even though they are a division enemy. It would be a nice for the city of New Orleans, and make it sweeter when the Panthers beat them next year.

FAVRE!

...hopefully against the Colts because I just can't listen to Jets fans for two more weeks.

Also it would be an all-time-epic QB battle

Obviously, I am rooting for the Vikings followed by the Saints, Colts, and Jets.

I don't know exactly what effect the lack of a Salary Cap will have on small market teams like Minnesota, New Orleans and Indy. I just feel if the Vikings don't win it this year they might not every have the personel and the payroll to win it again.

I guess I can't worry about things I can't control.

Vikings/Jets

incredible story line:

Favre vs. his former team in the SB.

or Vikings/Colts, Manning gunning for #2 SB ring, and Favre playing in his 3rd SB, looking for his second ring and a horse to ride off into sunset..

Don't want to see Steve Spurrier , Jr, aka Sean 'golf visor' Peyton and his ra-ra antics, or Brees pregame shout-fest with the players 'hoo-ha hoo ha', don't want to see Kim Kardashian every time Reggie Bush makes a play, don't want to hear about Katrina over and over and over and over and over again for two weeks leading up to the Big Game.

nope.give me anything but the Saints in the SB..

From the Fans persepctive.... Indy and their fans have been there, done that. Probably the more exciting game but, ho hum, Indy gets another ring....

For a Jets fan, we're in some stratosphere already.. If the Jets somehow won this week I'm not sure Jet fans would know WTF to do with themseleves, Its so unexpected.... Absolute Shock.

I always said, If /When the Jets ever made it I would go to that Super Bowl.. But, I'm, not spending thousands of dollars to be at the game.

Going to Miami and hanging out for the weekend would probably be cool..... :blackdot:

But, really Jets fans are on the edge of Insanity.... I think every other group of fans in this race has been prepared this season to go far... My expectations were just to see Sanchez and the D develop, regardless of record.

I know one thing - I will not be at some house party filled with people who don't watch football all year yapping about commercials waiting to see the halftime show!!!!!!!!!
