"We want to look at Beanie, I think this is a week where we really want to try and see what we have in Beanie and get him some more carries," Whisenhunt said. "It was unfortunate we come out of the Indianapolis game and he didn't get to play much at all... This is a young man who we feel very strongly about his talent and what he can do for us."

Hightower can`t run. The Cards used a #1 pick on Wells. This is his time.

what he said

I'll believe it when I see it. I learned long ago to not pay much attention to coach-speak, especially when it purports to discuss the gameplan. As a Beanie owner, I hope he does emerge, but Whiz' comments won't sway me into starting him this week.

100% agree...Gotta prove it for a game before I'd consider started Beanie...

Really tough to take the quote at face value, especially without knowing the question that he's responding to. That quote doesn't mean much if the question was something along the lines of "do you think Wells will get more than 2 carries this week?"

I gotta disagree about your "gameplan" comment. You really think this has any effect on what the Cards threaten via the air, for Houston to suddenly shift their focus to stopping Wells, especially with all the game film they have on him this year. I'm considering starting Beanie depending on Cotchery news come Sunday AM. As previously stated above, they drafted him where they did for a reason.

Hey, knock yourself out. Best of luck

The problem with waiting until you see it is that everybody else sees it then too. Then it is too late, his cost skyrockets.

I already own him...I wasn't referring to acquiring him, I'm referring to starting him this week. Not sure how you could read that any other way

i agree with cubbie--coach speak leading up to the game is as much gamesmanship as it is doing your job per nfl contract regulations.

but as a wells dynasty owner, i'm happy to hear whiz say this. it's better than the coach dogging on him.

it won't make me start him over decent options, though. unless you're really hurting at rb, there's too much risk of getting a goose eggsince he hasn't shown much in a game this season.

Yall dont get fooled into thinking the Texans got a super easy def to run all over.

Sure they had those metal lapses earlier but with the change at saftey and the LB coming together i doubt we will be easy to run on.

Maybe middle of the pack team. Out LB's are very good and with Bushin out of there we look awhole lot better against the run.
