White House Down-Cheesy(fun) action movie (1 Viewer)

Walk into this knowing your not going to see anything new(action wise) in this movie

and you will have a good time, Typical summer action stuff-explosions, lots of bullets,

fights, one liners, lone good guy saves the day, and plot twists that may be not so

hard to guess. It still all works, good pace, all the characters are solid(good and bad),

with some good chemistry between the main actors. The drawback is it gets a little

to heavy on everything the hero needs to save-put your brain on hold the last 15

minutes and it's a fun movie. Getting panned by critics at Rotten Tomatoes but the

audience is giving it a 3.7/5.

As I remember Olympus tried to be heavier-no comedy relief. There are moments when this movie

takes it's foot off the gas. I was entertained so it wasn't a waste of $8.00. Thanks for the bump.

There are people that didn't care for The Big Lebowski-I loved it. There are people that watch Fox-I

don't own a TV. Your taste is not right or wrong. Just yours.

I want to see this, but I just can't get past the "Get. Your. Hands. Off. My. Jordans!" line that Jaime Foxx's character spews out in the commercials.

I love the playfulness of the name, spinning a movie about a true American tragedy into a fun farce. That's a classy touch.

Saw this last night, and Olympus Has Fallen a few months ago. Both were mildly entertaining, as long as you're OK with willful suspension of disbelief. After watching Olympus Has Fallen, I didn't think it was possible for such a movie to be less realistic, but then White House Down pulled it off.
