White Sox 2011 Baseball (1 Viewer)

So is Ramirez going to be leading off anytime soon? Yahoo is speculating, but I haven't heard anything more.
Do not know if he has the plate discipline in his young career.
Definitely, but for lack of alternative Ozzie might say #### it.
one thing that is holding the missle back is 4 walks in 106 at bats.2 of them have been yesterday. so maybe that is what they are working on.his swing is a bit wild also, but if he continues to walk like yesterday, then I think it will happen. but he needs to have a better OBP.

....and make those outstanding plays in the field.....those two bare-handers were awesome.

So how is Javier Vasquez doing it? Any homers care to shed some light on how good Javy has actually looked? I haven't seen him pitch an inning but his stats are pretty incredible considering the park he calls home. Just curious.

Sox draft Georgia's Gordon Beckham in first round.baseball is so hard to know how a guy will pan out but he is a SS and IF was a need for the sox. he is 6-0 Weights 185here is what he did in 2007 as a Sophomore

Started all 56 games at shortstop and led the team with 13 home runs, 51 RBI, 23 multiple-hit games Batted .307-13-51 with a .943 FLDG% in 280 total chances (16 errors) Ranked among SEC leaders with 19 doubles and 130 total bases Hit .322 in SEC action including team-high seven HRs and 22 RBI Batted .571 (4-for-7) with the bases loaded including a grand slam versus Furman on March 28 that won a Bulldog fan $5,000 Seven three-hit games including one over Furman with a career-high 7 RBI too Went 2-for-5, 2 HRs and 4 RBI in season-opener versus #15 Oregon State Hit .417 (5-for-12) with 5 runs scored and 6 RBI in series at Kentucky in April Batted .500 (6-for-12) with 5 RBI in series at #7 South Carolina in May

No offense, besides that, Ace stuff all year.

nice win.

we are 7 games about 500, 17-8 in division games, and 16-9 at home.

were also 1st in MLB in team ERA, ER, Hits allowed, and HRs thats great while knowing how the cell is a launch pad.

Contreras/Javy/MB will win more than they lose, it's still up to the young arms...if Danks/Floyd prove to be the real deal over the next 100 games, I see the White Sox running away with this division...

The bats have come alive!!!!!!!! :goodposting: When this team is clicking like this they can beat ANYBODY.
On a podcast (linked in sig) the other day, I said the White Sox could be the most dangerous team in baseball from June until the end of the season. They're doing well so far despite some of their key guys hitting just over the Mendoza line. That starting staff and bullpen is tough to beat when everyone is on their game.

Floyd has one of the nastiest curves in the league...nice to see it has all clicked while he is in the Sox uniform!

Alexei is on fire...

The Twins should seriously just throw in the towel and call it a series...

Looks like the guys are taking better approaches at the plate and are starting to work themselves into better counts.

Pauly, for example, is not only doing that, but he is also going to the other fields instead of trying to pull everything.

Already 12 runs in today, pitching doing its job as usual, and now the hitting starting to come around.

Good times in Chicago.

Went to the Sox game this past Saturday.

I really like what they've done with Comisky. The park out in CF is pretty kick ###.

oh, and this team is on fire again.

after 7 wins in a row a loss does not feel as bad.

lets get a new winning streak going.

and our top of the order all got hits 1-5, and only 2 guys did not get a hit joe and JD, and they have been doing well so no biggie, we will usually get more runs with 14 hits.

also does any body know how to get rid of this below my pic

Swept? No but I can see them losing 2 of 3 here. They played sloppy ball yesterday but credit the Kitties for playing a solid game. This season in Chicago is starting to look like LIGHTS OUT at home and mediocre on the road. But then again- that seems like most MLB teams. The main importance here is the Twins lost again and are in a dreadful losing streak. Go Tribe Go Sox!

Interesting thing said last night on the Tigers broadcast:

Coming into last night since 1999 the Tigers and Sox had player a full season of baseball (162 games).

WS are 102-60 ;)

Humble Pie baby! Studs at home duds on the road. Verlander pitched well and the Sox hitters were swinging like they had VIP passes to the hottest club in town

man I feel for Mark B, this I think is the 3 time he pitched well and did not get the win.

at least the rockies will be at the cell next.

Other than the magical western road trip, we've been pretty bad on the road. When these guys look bad, they look really bad and vice versa.

I saw none of the game, but if Green says we won ugly, I'll take his word for it. :P

What happened to Jenks, every game is interesting with him in now. He loses speed on his fastball and all of a sudden he is worthless :penalty:
