White Sox's Ramirez leaves with knee injury

Alexei Ramirez left Monday's game in the third inning with an apparent left knee injury sustained sliding into home place.

Ramirez clearly had a cut on the leg. The White Sox will have to hope that's the only problem. It's a huge drop off offensively to Brent Lillibridge at shortstop, and it remains to be seen if manager Ozzie Guillen trusts Wilson Betemit at the position. Mar. 30 - 5:07 pm et

Ramirez returned to the White Sox' lineup Tuesday, a day after cutting his knee, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Recommendation: He may be a bit clumsy with a deep cut near his left knee, but this clearly won't keep him from playing and it should clear up before the games start to count.

But the dropoff to Gordon Beckham might me near as steep.
