Who are the must-get buy low players (1 Viewer)

Who are the players you are trying to trade for? J. Lewis, K. Jones, R Willaims? Who are the top players to try and make a move for?

Given all the negativity toward Larry Johnson, I'd say he'd be worth at least pursuing. Problem is, the negativity is coming from non-LJ owners, so I doubt he'd come cheaply.

Just made an offer for D. Williams, I think he starts and tears it up the 2nd half of the season. Want to get him before he blows up.

I just traded for C. Portis. I received C. Portis and L. Betts for D. Rhodes and A. Bryant. He was actually well stacked at RB with Portis, Westbrook, Parker, Addai, Maroney, and Betts (keeper league), but he also has Steve Smith, and a part from Burress, was looking at Burleson and Wilford as his bench receivers.

Anyway, best not to assume Portis owners aren't willing to sell. It never hurts to ask...

I'd say Randy Moss is a huge buy-low candidate, but then again, he won't only not post top 10 numbers this year, he may have a hard time posting top 20 numbers. I bet you'd get equal value if you traded for him.

for me, it's about the schedule so far.

there's 2 teams in particular that have had tough opponents in the first 2 games and I expect their skill players to rebound:

DET (SEA, @ CHI)

- doesn't get much worse than that. Facing the NFC SuperBowl participant and then the premier defense in the NFL!? Let's give Kevin Jones and Roy Williams a pass for now and see how they do against GB and STL.

MIA (@PIT, BUF)

- no, I don't think Culpepper is gonna rebound and be a great NFL QB, but fantasy wise, the Dolphins have had a nightmarish schedule. BUF's defense is no joke this year. With TEN, HOU, and GB on the schedule over the next 5 weeks, expect a rebound of sorts from your MIA players.

players I still won't buy low"

OAK (SD, @BAL)

- sure SD and BAL look like great defenses but the fact is that THEY haven't faced a respectable offense yet (OAKx2, TEN, TB). The Raiders don't have a QB and they are in shambles. I'm not buying anyone on this team.

Good info. I was just offered Kevin Jones for Jamaal Lewis and a scrub, so essentially KJ for Lewis. I think that I will accept the deal, although I am a bit hesitant on the sole gut feel a move the chains RB on what now looks to be a ~ 10+ win team will be much more fantasy friendly to a RB who is on a real lousy team who happens to have an easier schedule.

I hope its a PPR league

TJ Houshmanzadeh

CJ is starting to get banged up, bye weeks are coming, and Housh owners may start to sour on him waiting for him to come back from his injury. He's a solid WR2 when healthy as Chad usually attracts double coverage.

Any JAX receiver (currently M.Jones>R.Williams>Wilford)

Cozy playoff schedule. Their early schedule is stronger vs. the pass so their numbers may be less than their potential, but after their bye...lots of nice matchups.

So why not Leftwich then?

I put him under the high risk, high reward category. He holds onto the ball too long at times and gets absolutely creamed in the pocket. I don't think he's lasted a full season yet.

Lamont Jordan - get him during the bye week cause his value is even lower. His next 2 games should be enough to get him back on track.

Definatly Lamont Jordan

What makes you think us owners would sell Lamont? We knew he was going to have a rough start against SDG and BAL, and while the QB situation worked out. With Walters starting and the bye week for them to prepare for easier teams, I'm rather psyched to have started 2-0 without ever playing my #1 draft pick.

Im trying to get FWP. Willing to trade Deshaun/Deangelo handcuff for him.

who to start out of those two gives me a headache anyway.

David Carr

40/53, 75.5comp.%, 427yds, 4tds, 0ints, 123.7 rating

35 yards rush.

vs. PHI and @IND so far.

not exactly easy matchups for Carr.

2 home games coming up against the struggling WAS and MIA.

Anyone think Brandon Jacobs is worth a run with the mysterious Tiki injury?

If so, would you trade someone like Tatum Bell for him?
