Who are you rooting for and why? (1 Viewer)

I'm rooting for the Patriots due to Belichick being part of the NY Giants coaching tree. I like to see him do well.

How about you?

I'll be rooting for both teams. If I need a Pats FG to hit one of my boxes, I'll root for that. If I need an LA pick-6, I'll root for that. I have absolutely zero interest in who wins the game this year for maybe the first time ever.

once the jets are eliminated, which is usually by october, i no longer care.  just want my 300- box to come up.

Never liked the Patriots, even though I grew up in Boston. Would like them to lose. Especially because of the interesting topic of "if you are 5-4 are are you really that good?" Compare that to Mike and Joe Montana...

Don't like TB. It will take a lot more than he can do to make me consider the best athlete from Boston to be anyone who isn't a Celtic. Bob Cousey, Bill Russell, Larry Joe Bird, etc.

As A Dolphin fan, I hate the Patriots.

As a Michigan fan, I can't help but root for Brady.

Honestly, though...I don't care. Just hope for a good game.

I don't like either team, and at this point I don't root for any team and barely follow the NFL aside from stats for my fantasy teams.  Since I'm in marketing, I hope the commercials are good this year (unlike last year) and that the game is close and without a lot of sloppy and stupid mistakes (inlcuding the refs).  I wouldn't be against a good defensive game so high scoring doesn't really matter to me, just want it to be close.

You have to get to the super bowl first. Getting bounced in an earlier round or not making the playoffs is not a "better" thing. SB winning % is just a tiebreaker at best.

Don't know if i'm getting spoiled, but i just want a good game. This is not a talented Patriots team and it remains to be seen if the Rams are just talented, so that'll be fun to sort out. I know i don't want the media magpies to have 4 TB12 SB losses to squawk about but, like i said, that's kinda spoiled.

Not sure if I could care any less. The only thing I’m hoping for is that there comes a point where Sean McVey has to make a decision, and when he does it makes sense to everyone except the “old guard” and then succeeds. Basically I’m tired of illogical old school mentality in the NFL - the same one that keeps employing the same dumbasses year after year and job after job.

The Rams. I know Brady is great but I just can't see a dominant team having 0 successful coaches outside of New England and one HOF guy in their dynasty history. Couple all that with the * and it equals a BS dynasty to me.

Calm down on the hate. I know the debate that exists.

Is the giant sink hole under the stadium down?! Tired of Pats squeaking by when other teams choke away their chances. See ATL in the past. See KC of the present. Offsides on the INT. Phhhft. And I can't stand the Rams owner or the way the way they got into the Superbowl in the first place. The whole way the championship games ended made me sick. Not watching for the first time in as long as I can remember.

Go SinkHole! Swallow the team and ownership! Go!

Aaron Hernandez and I shared an apartment complex. Granted, our stays in said complex were separated by multiple decades, but it was a odd experience when I saw the maps on the news. I lived close to Foxboro when all those life long Pats fans couldn't be bothered to show to the stadium and watch the actual games.

As I get older I find I "root" less in general.  Even for my team.

I just want to watch good football.
I could not care less. Team I am tired of seeing in it versus a team that shouldn't be there. I'm not even watching. But, props to you for your attitude. Wish I had it.
