Who are you starting over Roddy White this week? (1 Viewer)

Has me worried, but with Colston and Jennings on byes, he's getting the nod along with Garcon and MSW.

This guy can break out and the Falcons still lose, so he will rarely sit.

Tough matchup. Slow start. If I recall, the FBG's ranking is moderate. So...who are YOU rolling with over Roddy?
 He should get plenty of targets. I like him very much this week.Turner, on the other hand, not so much. I think he gets shut down.

agree, I think people are getting too enamored with their destruction of STL. ATL's offense is a smidge better than STL. And SF has a good but not great D

I don't see this?

I considered starting Burleson, but Branch's performance last week has me concerned with him.

This from Wimer and Bryant's column makes me comfortable with starting White.

"St. Louis and Seattle faced the 49ers with back up quarterbacks whose poor production arguably skewed the stats when you consider Kurt Warner (288 yards) and Brett Favre (301 yards) posted games on the opposite side of the spectrum."

I've got Boldin, Ocho and Sims-Walker and right now White is on the bench for this week. I may reconsider, that's where I'm going right now.

I disagree. 49ers games I rank in order of being impressed with them and their defense.1. Cardinals2. Vikings (Even with a Loss - very impressed with SF)3. Rams4. Seahawks

So, nothing about this matchup has anyone worried?
That's not the question, the question is who are you starting over Roddy White. You can be concerned about a matchup and still go with that guy.If you're in an 8 or 10 team league and you start only 2 Wr's and no flex, I guess maybe you don't need Roddy White. However, if you're in a 12 or 14 team league that has 3 wr's or 2 wr's and a flex, I don't see how you can't start Roddy White considering bye weeks or injuries.

So you were more impressed with 49ers defense giving up 299 total yards, 16 points, and 2 takeaways for no TD's against the Cardinals than the 49ers defense giving up 177 total yards, 0 points, and 3 takeaways for 3 TD's against the Rams? I watched both games, Cardinals game was close and the defense looked pretty good but the Rams game wasn't close and the defense looked real good against that poor offense.

Starting Roddy and Welker. Sitting Housh, Harvin and Bowe. Although I'm concerned of a Clements/White stalemate and for ATL to look elsewhere. May swap in Housh given last week's performance (admittedly in garbage time) and Hasselbeck's return.

Yeah, because Kurt Warner is much better than Kyle Boller and the Rams are having a tough stretch these past few years. The 49ers were favored by 10 to win against the Rams and the Cardinals were the favored team. Yes, the 49ers piled on the defensive stats against the Rams but when you get a team down by 20+ points and they are trying to catch up lots of mistakes get made. Was I impressed, of course, but I am more impressed when they play well against good teams.

Atl may not be all that special but to say they are "a smidge" better than StL is ridicules. Do you realize how bad StL is? Atl's offense is a TON better than Stl.To answer the OP...no one. Going with C. Johnson (assuming he's OK), S. Smith(NYG) & White.

Starting Burleson over Roddy since Hasselbeck is back. I don't think Roddy is terrible but I'm a Niners fan. So much conflict of interest when you start a player against your home team. I am playing Michael Turner though.

Thanks, I didn't see the sarcasm til you pointed it out (seriously) and was about to post the same thing as above.

:banned: sorry guys, next time I won't forget the :pickle:

Deciding between Roddy and Percy Harvin in a league that gives points for return yardage. Harvin's playing the Rams, good matchup for Percy the WR, terrible matchup for Percy the kick returner as he may only get 1 or 2 shots in this game.

Same decision here. I've got Roddy starting and not thinking twice.Like you said, Harvin won't get many KR chances. He might catch a few passes, but I think this weekend will be the Adrian Peterson Show for the most part.

I'm leaning that way too.

Fitz, Moss, AJ.
Let me get this right: You are benching White for the likes of Casey FitzSimmons, Sinorice Moss and Adam Jennings?? Questionable move . . . (Because I know you do not have Larry Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson AND Roddy White on the same team)
