Who are you starting/sitting against Seattle? (1 Viewer)

Sitting Allen in 1 and maybe 2.

1 league for Floyd

and the other possibly for Hopkins...

tempted to sit K.Allen for J.Hunter
Yea i think i am pulling the trigger on this one.. Justin Hunter vs Dallas and their horrendous Defense is much better than Keenan Allen vs Seattle and the 3 and outs that the Chargers will inevitably experience

After week 1, I'm not starting any RB's.
I'd agree with you on RBs for sure but I don't see any reason to sit your WRs against SEA. Jordy, Randle, Dem. Thomas, Welker, Colston - even Crabtree and Boldin had decent games games going back to the SB and playoffs last season. Now the Chargers aren't anywhere close to those offenses but I think there will be yards to be had if they take what's given to them - which the Chargers are pretty efficient at doing.

Sitting Rivers and Mathews. Still deciding on Allen. Green also, but he'd be sitting regardless of who they're playing.

Starting Allen quite happily. He can play all three WR positions, and they don't seem to mind moving him all over the field. I'm assuming they'll be playing catch-up in the second, and Jordy and Cobb both had nice games with lots of targets doing that. And if SD surprises and jumps out to a lead, it would be hard to imagine them doing it without any help from KA.

I think he's a safe play.

Arizona shut him down last week, and now he's facing SEA whose strength isn't Sherman but the fact that their entire secondary is designed to shut down the passing game regardless who you match up against. If KA doesn't score, he doesn't have a good game, and I don't think there's a great chance of him scoring. If MJD isn't a go, I'm starting McFadden over KA, if MJD plays I might reluctantly start KA over Watkins/Fred Jackson.

Allen an easy sit for me. Fortunately I only need to start 2 WRs and have Patterson as my WR3. If only I had thought to do this move last week. Of course, watch Patterson not break the big one while Allen has a huge day.

Last week and last season....

Jordy, 9/83/0 (Week 1)
Dem. Thomas, 13/118/1 (SB)
Welker, 8/84/0 (SB)
Colston - 15/171/1 (2 games 13 season)
Crabtree 8/92/0 (3 games 13 season)
Boldin 12/153/1 (3 games 13 Season)

FF points can be had.

Sherman will stay on his side of the field. Allen moves around a lot so he will get his catches....I guarantee the coaching staff what Green Bay did and will sacrifice Eddie Royal to Sherman ..... Keenan Allen will do well in a game they will not be able to run the ball. The only WR you absolutely must sit against Seattle is Crabtree because Sherman will follow him around and will shut him down

I think you're falling for the trap of imagining that the Seattle fan version of the Seattle defense is the real one. In reality, that secondary gives up some points to receivers -- including two decent fantasy starts in one game so far this year.

Dont sit your studs

Starting allen with confidence

I know it's a tough matchup, but sd is gonna have to throw. Sea is going to put up 30+ points here

Define "stud". I can't call Allen a stud yet.

WHoever said they are sitting matthews for West, I would do that right now even if Mathews had a much better matchup

Starting Mathews over Ridley and DMC

Not super worried about the matchup tbh

Why are the most confident posters almost always the most ignorant?

Both of those statements you bolded seem plausible to me. I know Sherman usually plays one side, but I can see him shadowing Crabtree considering their history...

I'm not sure. I don't think the coaching staff is going to change their entire game plan/defensive schemes for some personal vendetta.

Starting Allen over Golden Tate and Sproles in the one league I have him. For now. Still mulling that one over. I have Cobb, Michael Floyd and played Steve Smith last night in that league so I feel I'll be OK if Allen comes up small. Do think the Chargers will move him around and get him some opportunities which is why I'm leaning toward starting him.

I'm rolling out Matthews, my only other decent option is DMC and that isn't happening.
I'm not a McFadden fan at all but I'd go DMC here. At least he's looking at a good chance for volume. If it's PPR he could catch a few passes to help things out.

But if WR3 is always on Sherman's side of the field, that's a bit of a wasted resource. They might have to move the guy around. It didn't work for the Packers, but it might for other teams...

Their strategy has, in the last 4 games, shut down Manning, Rodgers, Brees, and Kapernick.

Which teams do you think has a QB that can exploit weaknesses those QB's have been unable to?

sat Allen for S. Smith in PPR. Happy with the result.
Your avatar just sold for 343 mil, to a Thai-Chinese businessman.

Not one person starting Floyd in here?
I am starting Floyd for sure if Jeffery cannot go. I may be starting Floyd as a flex regardless. My other options are worse.

They won't sacrifice Eddie Royal, that would be sacrificing 7 targets. They will probably line up and have Green run routes at Sherman, it isn't like they throw to him anyways
