Who are you trading for or picking up for the playoffs? (1 Viewer)

I am starting this thread for discussion on players you are trading for or picking up to turn your season around, and for players you think will produce strong results over the next few weeks and into the playoffs.

I will post any articles that I find that contribute to the discussion.

Thinking of trying to move Brady and maybe A Rob for A Brown.  1 PPR.  Have Jameis and can absorb the A Rob hit.  Thoughts?

Found Bills DEF as a FA (probably due to the BYE) in a couple of my leagues, that playoff schedule of Browns and Dolphins, both at home, is mighty appealing.

Alfred Morris, good chance Dallas has a bye so maybe they give cut back on zekes touches and he can come in and get 80 yards and a td. This is probably more true for week 17 so might only help some people but he's a end of bench guy I have targeted recently

I grabbed him as well. It is a low probability but it could pay off big.

Panthers pass trio of Olsen, Benjamin and Cam.  SD, Wash, Atl, TB for weeks 14-17.

*JStew availability is too worrisome 5-to-8 weeks away.

Its not Arob for Brown, it's Arob and Brady for Brown. If they have a lower tier QB, it's not a bad trade.
Yes - Brady + A Rob = A Brown.

He does have a lower tier QB and is still in the playoff hunt.  I'm sitting atop the league and looking to consolidate picks to get AB.  My backup QB is Winston, so I feel like I could loose Brady and A Rob pickup AB and come out ahead.  He could join OBJ in a start 2 WR league.

Besides handcuffs (alf morris and derrick henry), I grabbed Dion Lewis a few weeks ago.

I know it's late, but the past 7-10 days were really the days to trade for Spencer Ware. Oak/Tenn/Den playoff run isnt bad. All at home.

Also picked up KC defense. Again, weeks 14-16 the Chiefs are at home vs. Raiders, Titans and Broncos.

Good team with a good defense at home for a playoff push. Plus Justin Houston is back.

Tyrell Williams is positioned to be a BEAST with his 14-16 schedule.

I drafted Ware and KC defense and picked up Tyrell because of his playoff schedule a couple of weeks ago. I have a trade out there for Rivers giving Ingram and Stafford. I think the guy will pull the trigger next week with Rivers out. Which is fine by me, I am 7-2 and will most likely have the best record in the league.

I just moved Brandon Marshall for Dion Lewis.

Marshall was headed to my bench for likely the rest of the season (rough schedule and terrible QB situation), so if this doesn't pan out, no real harm done to my squad. And I love Lewis's upside in the best offense in the game right now and he could be hitting full stride just in time for the fantasy playoffs.

At this point, if you can unload busts in bad situations who still have name-value for a post-injury lotto ticket like Lewis or D. Martin, I think it's a wise move.

Traded T.Y. Hilton for Michael Thomas.  Did it based on schedule and that now that Moncreif is back T.Y. may not get as many touches. Plus it's a partial keeper league and I can keep Thomas for a 14th rounder next year if I choose, would not have been able to keep T.Y.

They were a FA in one league, good call here.

I traded for Jameis, and grabbed Will Lutz last week.

If those Bucs/Saints games are 7-3 clunkers, there will be many unhappy fantasy owners that thought they were being slick.

There's the rub.  If you think arob is a wr1 going forward the deal might make sense.  Right now, he's barely a wr3.
It's betting on more current/future performance.  Over the last 3 weeks he has been WR#6.  I don't know if that will continue but if you believe it will and get Brady, Championship.

I like this trade, & I'm not 100% sold on Lewis. But the chance he gets the role & production he had @the beginning of last year is well worth Marshall, with his shaky situation & QB.
