Let's get one thing out of the way at the top: I'm not suggesting that anyone here has romantic feelings toward these players (not that there's anything wrong with that)

I was thinking during tonight's draft about how there are people I find myself drafting year and year even though they're never really put up an elite season for me. I've been discussing across multiple threads how I'm high on DJ Moore this year. I realized I've probably had him like three times in the past five years. Two years ago, I took him in the second round and he helped tank my season. Last year I avoided him and he was WR6. So this year I was back for more, taking him at 3.09.

Other guys who consistently seem to end up on my teams despite never being true studs

Metcalf
Diontae
Saquon (OK, he doesn't really apply because I drafted him his rookie year and he was a bona fide stud, but I've had him twice in subsequent years and he's gotten hurt both times)

Also, back in the day I always seemed to end up with Romo as my QB. He was never much more than a back-half QB1, although his consistency was nice to have from a mid-round pick and allowed me to surround him with good RBs/WRs

Just figured I’d give you the benefit of at least one reply to reassure you it’s ok.

Not there’s anything wrong with that.

It was Tyler Lockett for the last three years or so.

We had an extensive discussion earlier this summer and decided we would be taking time apart from each other this season.

Now: Brandin Cooks -always liked his value towards mid-late rounds. Not drafting him this year until he is staring at me in the 15th round.

In the past: Terry Glenn -was hooked since he was a rookie 7th round darling. RIP.

A couple years ago I gave the keys to my draft over to the Draft Dominator and I don't have that problem anymore.

For years I convinced myself that Mark Brunnel was going to blow up for a monster season of 30 pass TDs and 6-8 rushing TDs.

Swift. Not that he isn't good, but I drafted him as a rookie in dynasty and I still believe he's elite or very close to it. He's good, but I'm probably wrong that he's elite-adjacent. Good luck convincing me of that though.
