Who are your most and least favorite actors/actresses? (1 Viewer)

Mr. Mojo said:
These are not necessarily the best or worst performing actors, but you either specifically like or don't like to see them in a movie.

I came up with 5 in each category.

Who would be on your list?

...Least Favorite Actors

Woody Allen

Steve Guttenberg

Seth Rogen

Gary Shandling

Charlie Day

...
I don't mean to be, uh, you know, whatever, but it's odd that all five of these guys are Jewish.
Someone already pointed that out. Look above. FYI - the only one I was aware was Jewish was Woody Allen.

William H Macy

J Gyllenhall

Tom Hardy

Michael Fassbender

Christian Bale

Jessica Chastain

Amy Adams

Brit Marling

Emma Stone

Naomi Watts

Rooney Mara

Vera Farmiga

Elizabeth Olsen

Will avoid movies when I see their names:

Brendan Fraser

Nic Cage

Katherine Heigl

Melissa McCarthy

Stallone

Johnny Depp

and now... John Cusak
Good list.
This is my favorite list other than my own.

Fassbender is one of my recent favorites. Consider him must-see in anything he is in and he has quite the range, from Shame to 12 years a Slave to the new X-Men movies.

Bale is never bad and often great. He made The Fighter great instead of just good.

Not always big on Gyllenhall but he was the anchor in my #1 movie of 2014 - Nightcrawler.

Depp is not so much bad in films; it's more that he chooses bad projects. It would be like Aaron Rodgers forcing himself to be traded to the Raiders for one year. He would elevate the Raiders but not to the point where anyone not insane would pay to see him. (Doesn't really matter to the consumer - I get that right now, Depp films are must-avoid)

McCarthy is the same character in every movie. If you haven't seen her before, it's worth it to see one and then stop. The opposite of a potato chip.

Are you from Wheeling, WV? That could explain it.

Now you're really hitting below the belt! :censored:

like

Steve Buscemi - anyone in Fargo, for that matter.

Benicio Del Toro - he was great in Fear and Loathing, Traffic, etc..

Bill Murray

DeCaprio

Richard Dreyfuss made a pile of good movies over the years.

Michael Keaton

Tom Hanks - Big was such a good movie, it's vastly underrated.how did he NOT win the Oscar for that role?

Woody Harrelson

tweener:

Morgan Freeman - ALWAYS typecast as the sage old black man in every movie he's ever been in, and he's usually someone who also narrates the movie.lol.

he's good I suppose, he's just always playing the calm, steady wise old man who everyone leans on for advice/help..Shawshank, Driving Ms Daisy,

Glory, etc..same guy.same role, always..wash.rinse.repeat.

dislike

DeNiro - one trick pony

Pesci

Meryl Streep - I like movies where I don't feel like I'm watching a movie or watching someone act, if you know what I mean. everytime I see Streep I'm reminded that it's a movie and that she's acting. it's just painful to watch her..

Diane Keaton

Depp

Nicholson

Harrison Ford

I absolutely loathe Denzel Washington - he's always a goody two shoes..then he has to come out publicly to tell us that he's going to start doing roles where he's going to start playing the bad guy. he was horrible as the angry black dude in Glory.he's horrible in every movie.

Adam Sandler - I've never found a single thing he's ever done to be funny..I don't buy what he's selling, I suppose..

Matthew Broderick

Will Smith - no talent bum

Susan Sarandon

Gwyneth Paltrow

Schwartzenegger

Bruce Willis - seriously, what version of Die Hard are we on now, 32 ? his best role was Meeester Booootch in Pulp Fiction. he's largely a one-trick pony otherwise..

Ted Danson - there might be two or three WORSE actors in Hollywood than Danson.maybe two or three..

As far as funny actors go I've always been a fan of David Cross. Starting with "Slow Donnie" on Just Shoot Me and thru his couple of appearances as the city councilman on Modern Family.

I was going to add him, too. Chicken pot, chicken pot pie.

How about Walton Goggins?

The first time Cross had me rolling was this.

Titanica

Don't care what kind of crap he ends up in (see MIB) always makes me laugh.

Mr. Show rules. Anyone here that hasn't seen it is in dire need of a sense of humor.
