Who do you take #1? (1 Viewer)

If you have the #1 pick in a rookie dynasty league and need an RB who do you take assuming it shakes out like this?

CJ Spiller- Seattle - Bush Jr

Mathews- SD- dude even wears #21

Dwyer- Houston- solid goal line TD whore

Best- NE - playmaker that can take over for K Faulk

Mathews.

In a dynasty league I usually go for best talent and if it's close I then lean towards where they go so in this case I think Spiller is the best player and he went to a great location so it's an easy choice I take Spiller.

CJ Spiller- Seattle - at the worst, he's a Leon Washington or Darren Sproles type. At his best, a notch below CJ, good spot for him, he'd be the #1 in many leagues easily

Mathews- SD- Good/fair talent, all around back, doubtful that he'll ever be a stud but could be decent. RB2 type with perhaps slightly less risk than Spiller, he's behind the guy with better potential, probably 1.03 behind Dez even if I need a RB

Dwyer- Houston- I'm less than impressed but good situation, perhaps the ideal RBBC back with Slaton. Why do I see TJ Duckett when I think of Dwyer? Worth a mid 1st

Best- NE - Kevin Faulk is an apt comparison and did pretty well, never a stud but a decent #2 type, I see the same here. I'd take him in the late 1st

Whoever ends up in SD is who Id want.

In one league Im in I have 1.1 and 1.3.

Ive floated the idea of going with the top RB at 1.1, but I just dont think I can pass on Dez.

Mathews going to SD is the best possiable situation, and would jump on that! If Dwyer goes to SD, it is going to be a tough call between him and Spiller. I am leaning Spiller right now, but go back and forth everyday. For the record, I am sitting in that exact spot do to a trade. My team is competative thus why I like the SD situation. If I had a lesser team I would likely go Spiller regardless as he has the most talent in this draft.

Bryant is my choice or I would trade for a RB like Beanie Wells as everyone is going to love all these situations and overrate the rookies. Take advantage. I personally think the SD run blockers are terrible and that the new guy will be lucky to avg 3.5 yds per carry as a rookie in the end.

:own3d: I was going to post pretty much the same thing. Take Bryant at #1. I'm not understanding why so many are high on whoever SD takes.

San Diego is a terrible run blocking team now. Sure LT declined big time, but Sproles didn't excel behind the same line. The only time he got chunks was in third and distance spots. Maybe it's a good spot for a TD vulture type of deal, but I don't love that situation as much as you guys do for a RB.

No one will ever wear 21 in SD ever again, the franchise will frown on it, as I'm sure they plan to retire LTs number eventually.

I can understand if people think Matthews is better then Spiller but I don't see why him going to SD is that much better then Spiller going to Seattle.
