Who else got screwed by going with the Philly home field PD myth (1 Viewer)

So, I'm looking at my roster and deciding who to play on defense. Here is my defense:

DL - Peppers

DL - Hali

DL - B. Thomas

LB - Urlacher

LB - Bulluck

LB - Hayes

LB - Al Wilson

LB - A. Brooks

DB - L. Sheppard

DB - S. Taylor

DB - A. Wilson

DB - D. Robinson

Starting lineup consists of 2 of each (DL/LB/CB) and 2 flex. My definates are:

DL - Peppers

DL - B. Thomas

LB - Urlacher

LB - Bulluck

LB - Hayes

DB - A. Wilson

I need to start 1 more flex and 1 more DB. I remember that DB's who play at Philly always get PDs. Sheppard has done horrible for me the last 2 games since I picked him up off waivers after his 114 point performance against the Cowboys. But those games were all away from Philly. I figure he will get some PDs this game because the game is at home. So I decide to play Sheppard instead of a consistant Al Wilson.

I also dropped D. Robinson and started S. Taylor because of the PD theory of Philly. :bag:

Edited: Taylor and Sheppard got 0 PDs. :wall:

They handed out 17 total PDs between the two teams yesterday.

After just a quick look at a handful of other gamebooks, that's about 2-3 times more PDs than other games this week.

Carlos Rodgers was awarded 6(!) to go along with his 5 total tackles.

 Guess you just gambled on the wrong DBs. :)

Two teams I hate after this weekend:

Redskins for not having a flip worth of an offense, hence no PDs for Sheppard and the Giants for flat out sucking last night and me having Shockey and Manning.

I was this close to quitting fantasy football after watching that game last night.

Lito at home is usually a lock for at least 10 points. What the heck happened yesterday? I dunno. I wish I did. Personal rant (sorry).... in my most important dynasty league, where a win makes me a lock for the wild card at a minimum, I started Lito, Vrabel (1 pt on an asst) and A Smith over Big Ben. If I had benched any of Vrabel, Lito or Smith, I'd have a W locked. Now, I have to hope for the other A Smith (TB TE), J Phillips and non other than Keary Colbert to score less than 27 points tonight.

Against the worst team (out of 16) in this league, he has his highest point total on the year, and I have my lowest. :bag: I'll never live it down if I lose to this guy. Woe is me. Woe.

It's hard for even the Philly stat guy to award PDs on passes thrown out of bounds (Brunell) or in the dirt (McNabb).

Taylor had a pretty decent day tackle wise

:goodposting: Incomplete passes yesterday = 27Passes defensed awarded = 17Rudnicki has data from last season and is (hopefully) compiling data for 2006, too. The Eagle home stat crew handed out 50% more PD than any other stat crew last season. At one point this season, they had awarded 58 over a two game period. It's no myth.
