Who else got screwed by the Warner score change? (1 Viewer)

I didn't even find out till about an hour before kickoff yesterday. Was setting my lineup for the superbowl and our commish called and said "sorry, you're not really in the super bowl, Merry Christmas!". I thought he was joking and found out instead of winning by 1 pt I had lost by 2 pts. One of the bigger kick in the nuts I've had in a while. Would have won as well since I was the high scorer this weekend. Went from winning $1,000 to taking 3rd and breaking even. Woo hoo!

Opposite effect but same result. Ended up winning with the score correction then losing in the consolation game because the Commish checked out for the Holiday and never address the issue.

yeah, it was a quick shot to the groin sunday morning for me...guess I should have been paying attention earlier. It looked as much as a forward pass as Drew Brees did.

5th thread on this topic, awesome.

And you weren't "screwed", letting you advance when you hadn't legitimately won would have "screwed" the other guy, though. You just thought you won based on incorrect information.

 Justice was served.

I said screwed b/c the pass was just as much as a forward pass as the Brees pass was. Problem is they called the Brees pass a "forward pass". Take a look at the replay if you don't understand. If it was really a lateral and there wasn't a comparable play like the Brees one, I wouldn't mind as much.

No offense as I am sure you are a great person but I'm gonna roll with supporting the official NFL stat keepers over yours in these issues.

huh? what? so you should have won last week to advance to the super bowl, but instead played a consolation game? i'd be filing a major protest over this. its easy enough to correct. just take your score against the other guy who should have been your SB opponent. that's a joke.

Amazing. Yes, you are right - both passes were exactly the same, except the stat-monkeys intentionally ruled differently on them. :shrug:Nobody got *screwed* because the right calls were made. Note: I had no personal stake in either outcome, other than a desire to see the correct call.
