Who else sat Cutler (1 Viewer)

Me, me, me, me, me.

But I've played Brees basically all year. Other than Week 2, this is the first time it's (likely) been a major mistake, and Brees has been the better choice several times.

Sure it hurts missing out on 447 and 3, but the consolation is that those points aren't going to anyone else in my league, either. I like to think of the good job I did in drafting him rather than the lineup decision.

I have him in all three leagues. I benched him for Aaron Rodgers in one of them, but kept him in in the other two, including the one where we get extra points for long TDs.

I sat him for Rodgers. Was tired of the INT's and hoping the GB/MIN game would be a shootout. This is the first time I started Rodgers all season. I look like an ### now but hopefully Rodgers can still get me the win.

Don't have him, but it sucked playing him tonight. At least I had Marshall to offset a tiny bit of what he did.

Umm trade one
In theory, I agree. I made several offers but could get no takers in what I considered a fair trade. I wasn't interested in making a minor upgrade to my team (first in total points, no real weakness) that results in improving a competitor, plus I like having insurance in case Brees go down. So since no one was willing to give me fair market value, he's a pretty nice luxury.

I own Cutler in 6 of 11 leagues. Benched him in every league I owned Warner in (which was three of them.)

It's too easy to kick youself in these spots. Warner should still be a great play. He had the better matchup, and actually had outscored Cutler by 3 or 4 points in my main money league coming into the week. Although not likely, Warner is certainly capable of approaching those sorts of numbers.

What I'm really kicking myself for is starting Braylon Edwards in every league I owned him in.

Joe Flacco and the Ravens score 37 on the Browns and you bench Cutler against them the next week? I started Cutler. :lmao:
Depends on your options... I think it's pretty easy to defend picking Brees personally or playing Warner if I had him. From Week 3 thru Week 8, Cutler averaged a little over 250 ypg, with 1.5 TDs and 1.5 INTs per game. Far too many turnovers and FGs in general for the Broncos offense. While the Browns struggled some against Baltimore, as you mentioned, for the season, I believe they had allowed 200 ypg and only 1 TD per game prior to last week. Thru Week 9, I believe they still rank slightly above average in pass defense in both statistics.Perhaps you posted this prior to the game, too, but it's pretty easy to say it afterwords.

Drafted him as my QB. Been riding him all year, with Garrard on my bench.

I've been waiting for this for weeks, considering the struggles lately....

Started Cutler but didn't have a choice. I was so fed up with the stagnant Denver offense if I had a decent option I probably would have benched him but Cutler and even Marshall finally put up some numbers.

With Royal, Stokely, Marshall and Scheffler all playing, I find it difficult to bench him vs. any other QB. The Denver D is awful, and Cutler will have to throw all season long to keep them on games. I startedhim over Eli, Hass and several others like Pennington, etc. Warner and Brees would be tough, maybe Rivers... but I've been a Cutler guy since he was at Vandy.... so I am biased.

Benched him for Brees. Never considered starting him so I don't feel like I almost had those points. I obviously like Brees' play so far and haven't been impressed with the slumping Broncos. I thought an Eli-vs-Browns type of night was possible, to be honest.

That's not the kind of lineup decision I kick myself over. Plus, take away the 93-yard TD and...he'd still be awesome. Okay, forget that. Still, I like Brees. Hopefully he puts up at least respectable numbers.

This is pretty much my take as a Brees/Cutler owner. I was way too busy agonizing over RB's to even second guess QB's this week.

I benched him for Warner.
I benched him with Pennington and Rodgers playing on Sunday. I was sitting at my computer, not sure to play or sit Cutler and I gave the tie breaker to Dodds. Out of the trio of Pennington, Rodgers and Cutler.......Cutler was rated 3rd.Kinda stinks but nobody had a gun to my head to do it. I felt I understood the logic and went with it........boy was I wrong.

I was planning on benching him for Garrard v Detroit. Thanks to packerfan and deuce for talking me out of it.

I would have started Cutler (no, really) but I forgot about the Thursday night game and as such Warner is starting. So I'm still an idiot... just a slightly different breed of idiot. :X

I benched him for Rodgers too in the 1 league that I'm in that not only awards bonuses for 300 yd passing games (5 pts), but an additional 5 pts for every 100 after that AND bonuses for long TDs. In other words, Cutler put up one of the few games of the year that will single-handedly give you a win in this league.54 points on my bench

Tossed him and Sage back and forth, but in the end went with my gut and started Cutler w/ Rogers this week. :goodposting:

Well, here's to Brees outscoring Cutler: :blackdot: Received my opponent's starting roster via e-mail yesterday; Favre starting with Cutler as tie-breaker. Checked the scores on the league page early this morning and he switched QBs at the last minute.Hoping for a shootout in ATL.

add me to the list of guys who started warner over cutler this week. yea it sucks but whaddyagonnado?

if the broncos can't get any RBs healthy i will definitely be starting cutler more frequently in my yardage heavy league.

Hey! I got that one right, too. :) Like NBZ said, I don't feel like I made a bad decision. While I always try to think of every lineup possibility, when you have a Brees, he's got to play every week except for questionable health on his part, injuries to his offensive teammates, and/or a very tough matchup. So I don't feel bad.But I was very pleased with Winslow. That was an extremely tough decision between KW and Daniels, but it looks like I got that one right. My only other question this week is Jacobs vs. Ronnie Brown. I'll probably play the big boy even though Brown has a better matchup. Like Brees, the Giants offensive line and dedication to running make matchups far less relevant.
