I am surprised to see that Johnny Johnson isn't on the thousand yard rusher list. I previously thought in his rookie season he gained 1000, guess it was really only 926. Man, there was a lot of hype about that guy for him to have only gained 926 yards.

Why is Ottis Anderson not in the HOF?

Because a lot of unqualified old farts like to get together annually in a back room, tell war stories and play God with NFL players' legacies.

He had a 15 year career with only 6 decent seasons to show for it. That would be my best guess.

I am surprised to see that Johnny Johnson isn't on the thousand yard rusher list.  I previously thought in his rookie season he gained 1000, guess it was really only 926.  Man, there was a lot of hype about that guy for him to have only gained 926 yards.

Johnny Johnson won Rookie of the Year honors.....over Emmitt Smith. Guess Emmitt Smith got the last laugh, heh?Kind of reminds me of Anthony Thomas winning Rookie of the Year honors over Ladainian Tomlinson.

I don't think Jim Otis was going to gain more than 500 yards in those two games to better Anderson's mark.
