Who is benching Tony Gonzalez this week? (1 Viewer)

Am I crazy for considering it? Are there any other people thinking the same?

I just don't have any faith in Tyler Thigpen. As hard as it is to sit someone like Gonzalez, I need points from my tight end spot and I find myself looking at guys like Bo Scaife and Zach Miller (not this week against the Ravens) as potential fill-ins. I just don't see Thigpen completing more than 5 or 6 passes, let alone get that many to Gonzalez.

Take a look at the crazy amount of targets Gonzo has had with Thigpen. I much prefer Thigpen at quarterback, in terms of Gonzo's production, than Huard, who seemed to lock in only on Dwayne Bowe.

If that is the case, that would be mighty reassuring. Is there any place to see targets players get in a particular game?

I have Daniels as my (backup), and had him starting last week until I pulled the last minute switcheroo and put Gonzo back in...cost me 10 points...

At this point, in deciding between the two, I am playing the matchups, and I like Houston vs. Bengals.

Sorry to hijack. To answer your question, I think Gonzo may get more attention from Both Thigpen and from opposing defenses. I guess it woulod depend on what your other options are.

Exactly. Unless you have another top 10 TE on your roster, Gonzo must start. It's a testimony to his stud status that he's been able to put up the numbers he has on such a disfunctional offense.
