Who is Brady's backup going to be? (1 Viewer)

Hoyer? Really?
I grabbed him in the 18th and final round of my draft (I have Brady and Garrard). If Matt Cassell can win 11 games in that system..... Plus, the fact that they cut O'Connell and did NOT trade (at least not yet) for Feeley or someone else, tells me that: (a) Brady is ready to roll; and (b) that Hoyer will be good enough to produce Cassel-like numbers in the event of emergency.

Pats won't sign anyone before Week Two, as anyone on the opening day roster has their contract guaranteed for the season. Any signings after that are subjest to a per game break down, so scuttle butt is they will take on someone in the near future after the Bills game.

Are there still rumblings about them being interested in Feeley?

Seems a bit shortsighted just to save, what, $300k? If the Pats want a different backup QB, isn't it better to get him signed as soon as possible to give him time to absorb the playbook?

Could be way more than $300K in terms of guaranteeing a QB 16 games. If they brought in a new guy and he didn't work out after a month than they would save 12 weeks of pay. Plus there are salary cap issues as well . . .

Still playing cat and mouse with Philly over Feeley I see....perhaps a Booty call is in order.See what I did there?
Still Feelying out Philly for AJ? I like the Booty call one better, tho. There's got to be a plan here. No freaking way it's Hoyer at 2, esp after scuttling the other two.
