Who is handcuff to Lesean? Sproles or Polk? (1 Viewer)

I was wondering who is the player to handcuff to him in case of injury. I was reading the upside thread and somebody stated they thought Polk would be an instant top 10 back but I have my doubts that he's even the true handcuff to McCoy at this point. I know Polk has been pretty injury prone in college and the pros and he is once again hurt.

So who is the handcuff here? Polk? Sproles? Somebody else? Nobody?

I have very little confidence in Polk staying healthy enough, but I would say that he would be the most likely to be the feature back.

Sproles is probably a better bet in terms of production, but I really don't see him getting anywhere near the volume that a lead back would, no matter what.

Henry Josey is a longshot, but he did get a lot of time in the 2nd game and showed fairly well, for whatever it's worth.

Diddy was on the radio today and said that he thinks it's a good possibility that Polk doesn't make the team, fwiw.

yeah, definitely wouldn't surprise me. I guess that was part of my preface in my mind. If he did actually make the team, I think that he would be the guy. The RB spot is kind of thin.

I keep forgetting that Ray is on most Sundays now.

I find it interesting that Polk would be on the roster bubble. I highly doubt they'd lean on Sproles if McCoy went down. Looks like Josey is the only live body right now with Polk, Tucker and Fluellen all nursing injuries.
