Who is Larry Johnson's backup (1 Viewer)

I'm curious as to KC's decision to make Bennett a healthy scratch last week and yet FBG has him listed as the primary backup on the depth chart heading into week 5. Has Bennett failed to pick up the offense or is KC bringing in other players to fill a void somewhere else on the roster?

I'm pretty sure Bennett was not a healthy scratch. As I recall, they mentioned something in the pre-game show about an injury he sustained. I'll see if I can find you a link.

But to answer your question, the backup is Dee Brown.

Just to clarify....are we sure Dee Brown is the backup? Is that official?
LJBennett

Dee Brown

Derrick Ross

Ross has yet to be active. Bennett's healthy.

It's as official as official can be. Unless I'm missing a private joke.
Heard on the radio this morning that Bennett didn't practice yesterday after missing last weeks game. No reason given.

This still shows Bennett as the 1st backup. I know he is out this week with an injury. I guess my real question is if Dee Brown is the backup for the rest of the year?

Not a KC homer but own LJ in 3 keeper leagues so I try to follow this situation. My money is on Dee Brown being the backup until Bennett is healthy again.

That's what I am concerned with. Right now I am carrying LJ, Bennett, and Brown. Just seems like too many handcuffs

Based on the issues facing KC in terms of OL and Haurd not sure Brown has any real value right now, even temporarily as #2. LJ's ypc is way down....

Only until Bennett is back, because Brown sucks.Fantasy? Absolutely zero value.

grabbing Dee Brown doesn't solve anything in my mind if LJ goes down for and extended period. Bennett's injury is a short term problem that can be solved with rest. There's also possibility that KC becomes RBBC with both Bennett and Brown without LJ. I own LJ and don't have a handcuff for him. If he goes down I'll figure it out from there.

It used to be an automatic that whoever was running in KC was a lock for greatness and now that Roaf is gone, they aren't the best OL in the NFL anymore. Bennett or Brown would be effective fantasy RB's if not used in RBBC in my opinion but obviously not LJ levels.

Well it's not that I think LJ's backup has that much value. But whoever would replace him has more value than anything I can get off the waiver wire if LJ goes down (IMO).

Bennett pulled a hammy last week racing Brian Waters in practice. He is out this week as well. He will be the primary backup when healthy.

Until then, Dee Brown is the backup. But...the reason LJ got 30 carries last week was that Dee Brown was cramping up. How do you cramp up when you aren't even in the game?

He had 8 yards :P

Great...just great. I am loaded with LJ backups on my team (Priest, Brown, Bennett) - just because I am thin at RB and there are no starters on the WW. If LJ goes down, I need somebody. Now Ross is thrown into the mix. :wall:
