Who is sitting Cam Newton today vs Seattle? (1 Viewer)

Who has the balls to sit cam today?

I predict a game similar to last year against Seattle. If he proves me wrong ill be thrilled for him. But with the dearth of weapons and that ferocious defense I'm just not seeing it.

I see guys commenting on other message boards predicting. 300-400 yds, 2 passing Tds, 60-85 yards rushing and 1 rushing td.

If he does that today against Seattle he might end up as qb1 this year.

Not buying it!

I'm sitting him in favor of the guy on the other team, Russell Wilson.

I already have a lead (thanks to Thomas) so my thought process is that Wilson is the safer play/most likely to get 15 plus points in traditional formats.

If I were losing Cam would be in for me.

He is a supreme talent, no doubt. He just doesn't have the weapons to overcome seattle's defense.

Tough game to open the season with that's for sure.

I'm sticking with my prediction for a poor outing, but hopin I will be wrong.

I just read that cliff Abril and Brandon browner are OUT for Seattle today. That will definitely help cam...

Last years game was in week 5 at 4:00PM Eastern Time, this is week 1 at 1:00PM. History has shown it's much tougher on west coast teams coming east to play the 1:00PM game. Week 1 is also when defenses typically tire in the second half because it's the first time most players are asked to play 4 quarters. I'm not saying Newton will put up Peyton's week 1 numbers, but I believe he will put up much better numbers than in last years game. I'd have to hesitation starting him if he was your fisrt QB drafted.

Same exact situation in all facets, including having Thomas from Thurdsay. Also starting Wilson for the same reason (want the higher floor), plus the rest of my team is better than my opponent except QB (Brees) and TE.

If I was chasing points or an underdog, I'd use Cam.
