As the St. Louis Rams prepare for a rare opportunity to get an even more rare win, their workhorse tailback might not be available.

Steven Jackson has missed practice Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with a sore back. He is listed as questionable for Sunday's visit from the Seahawks.

Per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, coach Steve Spanuolo suggested that Jackson's availability will be a game-time decision.

"I trust Steven and what he can tell me," Spagnuolo said. "The competitive juices come out. But I think he's been in the league long enough that he knows he doesn't want to hurt the team, yet he wants to be out there to help the team."

Quarterback Marc Bulger is out with a broken leg, and tackle Jason Smith is doubtful with a concussion. According to the Post-Dispatch, Spagnuolo said Friday that Smith won't be playing.

I believe Ken Darby would start if Jackson misses Sunday.

Darby and Samkon Gado would split the work.
