Actually that's a coin flip. Orton couldn't hit the WRs running 10 yards wide open behind them, but he was good enough to the ball within 10 yards. I suspect the answer this week is the stadium turf. This week it will either be Chris Gamble or Ken Lucas
Sorry gbill....but this was my gut reaction as well. The only value these guys have is in a dynasty at this point. Hopefully the Vikes can get themselves a QB...since they haven't had one since Culpepper left.Does it matter?
It's kind of like asking if Fitzgerald or Boldin is the #1 in Zonaminus any production at all
News as of yesterday. What's the latest on Rice's injury? If he's out, Berrian is the No. 1 by default. Although that's not a ringing endorsement...
Really, Chili? And here people say you're not a genius!Rice, Berrian hobbling because of injuries

Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice said he suffered a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee while trying to make a catch in the second quarter of Sunday's 18-15 loss to the Colts.
Rice, who had an MRI on Monday morning, said he hopes to play Sunday against Carolina.
"It's pretty sore," he said. "It kind of hurts when I walk a little bit."
Rice hurt his knee when he landed after going up for a jump ball. He put a sleeve on his knee and, by his count, played another 10 to 15 plays in the second half. But he said he could feel the knee "shifting around" when he ran full speed.
Rice said he will get treatment twice a day this week and likely will need to wear a brace if he is able to play.
"It could have been much worse," he said. "I'm glad it's just only a sprain."
Rice is not the only receiver who is hurting. Bernard Berrian walked with a noticeable limp as he left the locker room Monday. Berrian's big toe on his right foot has caused him problems since training camp. He had issues with that toe last season, but he was able to play all 16 games with the Chicago Bears.
Getting to Berrian
Even though Berrian is obviously not 100 percent, the Vikings certainly didn't expect him to have only three catches for 38 yards after two games.
Berrian, who signed a six-year contract that calls for $16 million in guarantees, did not have a catch against Indianapolis. He dropped a pass on the first series and only had four passes thrown his way all game.
"I need to do a better job of factoring him in and getting him more looks," Vikings coach Brad Childress said. "The fact is, he had a couple of looks [against the Colts], whether they were front-side or back-side looks, and we weren't able to get the ball to him. We obviously have to do a better job of getting the ball to our wide receivers. Whether it's short or whether it's long, you've got to get the ball to those guys."
The wide receivers combined for only five catches for 79 yards Sunday.

In that offense they are not called "Receivers"...they are called Overpaid DMac Decoys.
Why? did they replace the offensive line with one that can pass protect?Suddenly Berrian and Rice may have some value.

Hey slimjim, it wasn't meant to be insightful but more to ask the question, does it matter? They have a QB that absolutely cannot hit the targets so what's the difference? I wasn't trying to be a smart alec but if you took it that way, props out. Thanks for the insightDoes it matter?Anyone else?
