Who is the #2 RB in Miami? (1 Viewer)

As a Brown owner, I am beginning to grow weary of Cam Cameron's comments about how Ronnie Brown seems to be in the doghouse and that "he hasn't named a starter yet."

In all honesty, who really poses a threat there? Is it anything to worry about? Is there real talent on that bench that would be worthy of picking up a quick insurance handcuff on?

I've never seen this done, so I am going to give myself a

this is just ANOTHER  ..

seriously tho, Parcells bashed T.o. all preseason last year, the guy went on to lead the NFL WR's in TDs..

it happens all the time..RB will be fine..he'll be a to p10 RB by the time the season is over.

Aug 20 Dave Hyde, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron is looking for more from RB Ronnie Brown and is not yet ready to name him the team's starting running back. "Our best running back will play - I don't care who it is," Cameron said. When asked who he thought his best running back was, Cameron replied, "We're not to the point where we'd say that."

I'm just asking if there is any talent behind him to maybe lend to the idea that he should be handcuffed? IS Booker going to be good at this level?

RBrown will start, and will not loose touches via RBBC.

Booker will get occasional 3rd down usage. Chatman will spell Brown every now and then.

If Brown were to get hurt, Chatman would become the starter, and Booker would get more 3rd down opportunities.

If you are looking for a true handcuff, Chatman is your man. If you are looking for a bye-week /desperation fill-in, Booker is your man.

This is Cam Cameron keeping the pressure on Brown to keep working hard. If there's any doubt about Brown losing his job over a cryptic training camp comment like this you need your head checked. And yes, I do think Booker has some promise in the NFL and I even drafted him in a dynasty league.

It may not be so cryptic. Brown was used as a kickoff returner on Thursday vs. KC. Now, that doesn't mean Brown will lose his job, and it could be further evidence of your belief that Brown is being sent a message. I think the truth is somewhere in between. I would be worried about this development. That Brown also came into camp overweight should also raise some eyebrows. Booker has been almost nonexistent during the preseason.

I think Red is right, though. Don't read too much into these comments during the preseason. Every one is in "the best shape of his life", and is "looking good in camp".

The fact remains, that until the Dolphins offensive line improves, I would be very hesitant to select anyone on their offense, Brown, Booker, Chambers, Martin, Green etc.

This is kind of a misleading topic header as the thread is really asking whether Cameron is serious in suggesting Ronnie Brown isn't a lock to start, whereas the title asks whether Chatman or Booker is the RB2.

Considering Chatman's play and Cameron's comments about his competing with Brown, is there really any question that Chatman is the RB2? Booker will probably stick as the RB3.

This is the correct answer.

OK, I changed it.
