Who is the Next Superstar Fantasy RB? (1 Viewer)

Who do you think is the next superstar fantasy RB? I am thinking multi-year dominance like E Smith, M Faulk, and LT, players who carry fantasy teams by themselves. As of now it looks like Adrian Peterson *could* be next. But after that, who is your (wild) guess? How has the tools to do it? Feel free to include any college RB - this is particularly what I am interested in.

Some could say it depends where they are drafted and we don't know that yet. True and that's a valid point. However I believe a counter-argument could be made that if you are talking about the creme of the crop, it does not matter too much where they are drafted. LT was drafted on a bad team, but the team evolved around him since he was so special.

Peterson isn't next, he's current.

CJ3

Stewart or DWill, or they'll just make the best RBBC since peanut butter and jelly

Chris Wells if he stays healthy

If anyone has a chance to be as great as the people mentioned in the title then it is ADP and that's about it. Let's not forget the consistant numbers those greats put up.

Anyone who put C.Johnson is absolutely kidding themselves. He will never, and I mean NEVER, put up stats like those. He will always be in a RBBC and doesn't have the ability to put up those kind of numbers even if he ever could become a full time back.

No he isn't. Far from it as a matter of fact.
:yucky: AD is in the 3rd year of his multi-year dominance. Sure he isn't elite in PPR leagues, but for pure running, he's there. yardage: 1609 and 1885 (led the NFL in his 2nd year)TDs: 13 and 10, so he can improve thereYards per game rushing - led the NFL in his first 2 yearsETA: I somehow missed the "fantasy" part, AD is the elite runner right now, without which the Vikings would be horrible. I maintain he's the top dog in non-PPR leagues now.

AP ended up 3rd in my non ppr. That is very good, not dominance, but ya if I could chose any RB, I would chose him. He is very close, just has to get those td's up to 20+

MJD

DWill

Turner

These 3 are in the process of establishing themselves, and have already shown a propensity for scoring touchdowns and racking up yards from scrimmage.

MJD has already shown consistent production for 3 yrs and has the most potential due to his all around game, receiving ability, and nose for the end zone. Williams and Turner will both have to show us that that last year wasn't just a career year, and Turner will have to become a receiving threat to realize his full potential.

Priest Holmes should be added to your original list of past superstars. Guy was a FF machine for a 3 yr. stretch.

Tomlinson played for several years before he ever finished #1 at his position. Same thing with Faulk. Both only finished #1 at RB twice, but they were in the top five all the time. I think "superstar" can easily be defined as someone who's in the top five every year. That's the kind of consistency that wins titles. Peterson has been #3 and #3 in his first two years.

McFadden = Marshall Faulk in 2 years. If you still have one, bet the house.
As a McFadden dynasty owner I'd love to think so. So far, I'm not at all encouraged. Guy gave me absolutely nothing in his rookie year and he still has Fargas and Bush to contend with. Add in the Raiders absolutely blow with no real hope emerging for the future yet and I can see where he has a chance to be the biggest underperforming RB bust in a long while. Here's hoping he stays healthy, Bush and Fargas move on or get hurt, and the Raiders somehow get good. Thinking about all that and I'm reminded of the saying, "You can wish in one hand...".
