For fantasy purposes, I voted NE RBs. I can't see anyone being legitimately startable unless there are injuries piled up.
 I understand why another choice is running away with it - the guy has been hated on by TSP at two different franchises - but if you're talking from a fantasy perspective, Foxboro 2009 is a fantasy wasteland for RBs.

Solid choices but please add Jamal Lewis. Never in the history of the NFL has a 245 lb monster run like such a ####.

Are we talking fantasy or real life?

Because if it's real life, Jones is significantly better than what we've seen of Tim Hightower. Admittedly Hightower doesn't have the history and could improve, but you have to look hard to find someone who averaged UNDER 3 yards per rush in Year N and then enters the following season as his team's starting tailback.

i know benson fumbled early on but my lord what workout regimen did this guy find?he hasn't shown this quickness and assortment of moves since he was a longhorn. the patriots impenetrable DL often crashed into the backfield but when benson actually could breathe, to me he has looked the best he has as a pro. he's looked natural a few times catching the football(as a bear i didn't even know he knew what 'catch' meant) and he's actually exibited a burst and agility. did it take this guy getting cut to wake up and become a pro?

seriously i've seen more side steps/jukes/vision/burst out of Cedric 2nite than during his bears career(and where i live the networks cram the bears games down your throat)

Jamal Lewis by far.

I could outrun him if I were going backwards.

Poll Fail.

Hightower

Cardinals homer. He's a solid pass protection guy & adequate receiver. Very hard worker, but limited skills as far as ever being an NFL starting RB over any duration of time. Unless Wells continues his injury ways all year, I expect Timmy's impact to be next to nothing come 2010. They could probably find a better COP back on 3rd downs....which would be his only use with Wells in the fold.

Benson looked very shifty 2nite. Never ever saw that with the Bears.

Totally agree with you, homerism aside. Benson has looked much quicker this preseason. I actually think he's one of the more underrated starting backs, given his pedigree and the way he looked at the end of last season and especially this preseason.

Trying to keep it real life...

I voted Denver RB's, because it's going to be yet another cluster-RBBC..

nothing screams 8-man-fronts like Kyle Orton under center. :(

McDaniels has a history of RBBC. Hillis looks great, so it'll be hard to keep him off the field, thus cutting

Moreno's supposed playing time.

then there's the lousy Denver defense, barely improved from last year it is destined to be one of the NFL's 5-worst units in 2009.that means chuck-n-duck passing from Orton to play keep-up with opposing teams..

:moneybag:

Denver could abandon the running game early in contests esp if they're trailing by double digits in the first half..

Denver faces perhaps the worst 8-game stretch of any team in the NFL:

Dallas, NE, SD, Balt, Pitt, Washington, SD, NYG..

sounds like 3.6 yards/carry in each game..:shrug;

I voted "Other teams RBs" aka Jamal Lewis. Even if he's underrated in real life as someone argued, he should be in the poll
