Who is this Harrington kid? (1 Viewer)

This Harrington kid is looking pretty good. 2 TDs already.

With John Kitna getting up there in age and Harrington being on a one year contract, is he a QB the Lions might target? :bag:

God Harrington sucks.

To make THAT throw, under THAT pressure with THAT much time on the clock and THAT place on the field?

That's as bad as quarterbacking gets.

He's the the guy that was too dumb to stick around long enough for Martz to make him into a star
I would have liked to seen him get one year under Martz..hell what is one more year after we have been waiting 50 years?

From someone that's obviously been there before, I'll have to take your word for it.

Because I would have to have actually played QB in the NFL? That's a bit silly it would seem.I never claimed I could come CLOSE to doing the job. But that doesnt mean you can not tell when a player makes a terrible decision and a terrible pass at a terrible time. Especially when said player has a long history of doing just that.FWIW, harrington has actually looked really good most of the game. but that is just such a typical awful potential game killing play...

I agree that Joey sucks, but it did appear that the defender may have gotten him on the arm right as he threw that pass. I'd like to see a replay because it looked like he got brushed on the arm as he was releasing the ball.

that would be too funny. There's no way they'd do that, no GM in their right mind would do that. Oh no wait they have Millen. That'd be too funny

Joey is a good QB, get over yourself. :bye:
Before this game, he had 7 TD passes and 10 interceptions. He is the same as before; he just was lucky to play a terrible team today that played like they didn't give a damn.
Lucky against Chicago and KC too I suppose?
The Dolphins #4 ranked Defense has had a lot more to do with their success than Joey.Detroit should really fire their DC, that was the worst excuse for a gameplan I've ever seen. Joey is your opposing QB, the guy with major happy feet who wilts under pressure and they got no heat on him at all.My favorite moment in the game on a key 3rd and long in the 2nd quarter and the Lions rush 3 guys! Even the announcers were like "Wow, can I tell you how much I hate the rush 3 in the NFL? You just can't expect to do anything if you dont pressure the QB, they'll pick you apart with that much time."

People forget it takes 4-6 years normally to develop an NFL QB.

That is most QBs that aren't named Manning.

Joey is developing just fine thank you.

Too bad we all live in an instant gratification country. Life doesn't usually work like that though.

According to the stats, he isn't developing at all...sorry

Seems like that is exactly what is happening since he has been starting for the Dolphins.

Maybe getting away from the negativity in Detroit is helping too.

Maybe playing four progressively easier defenses is helping.

Hey it's not all negative in Detroit for him - there were a couple of signs with girls still wanting to marry him, and a "priceless" commercial sign.

Heck, the girls were pretty cute, ya never know.

I liked Sims comments that Joey would have been fine if the Detroit defense would of stopped giving up over 40 points a game.

:goodposting: Im not a big Harrinton backer - I never liked him as a FF option while he was in Detroit - but I have to admit he has played better of late.It seems to me he is making quicker reads and getting the ball out of his hands faster. Sometimes a change in scenery makes a big difference.

Lets face it Det is the black hole of football, everyone who goes in has their skills and talent sucked out of them until they can get lucky enough to escape, a la Joey.

No wonder Barry hung up his cleats he has been the ONLY bright spot in the darkness of Det football.

I'd say Roy Williams has been having a tremendous career so far in Detroit - with QBs whose talents have been sucked out of them.
