Who is Westbrook's Best Handcuff? (1 Viewer)

Is this a situation where Buckhalter gets some carries and receptions while Hunt gets the goalline work?

I was under the impression that it was Booker without question.

I thought the eagles traded for him specifically for this purpose because he is similiar in style to Westbrook.

Clearly booker, who has a lot of the same qualities as Westbrook. He can catch it and run with it. That is indeed why the Eagles got him when you take into consideration that Westbrook is always a threat to get injured. The move allowed the Eagles to adopt the same philosophy even without Westy. I think he would be a legit starter option for a Westbrook owner if they get in a bind.

when he's been out in the past they always just seem to completely mix it up. I'm guessing it would just become a severe case of RBBC.

PLEASE don't anyone here get fooled by whomever this clown is that is trying to look like I posted this.I have asked the mods to remove whomever this is.....and PS - while Buckhalter might get short yardage work and some carries, the player that would replace Westy is clearly Lorenzo Booker.

There was also press in the preseason about Booker getting work in Westbrook packages so he was up to speed on everything.

but how do we know Booker would be viable in FF. seems like it would be cloudy at best if Westy went down.

this is the third week in a row that this question has been asked/a new thread made.

Fantasy football rule #14:

NOT EVERY STUD HAS A TRUE HANDCUFF. In these cases, you're "handcuff" is whoever the next best Rb on your roster is.

FWIW, should Westbrook go down, a true RBBC would occur in Philly, with Buckhalter getting the majority of normal carries, Booker seeing most third down and obvious passing down work, and Hunt seeing goal line/short yardage work.

Booker has a style similar to Westbrook, and is capable of runnng many of the recieving plays Westy does, but he's not anywhere close to as talented, especially as a runner.

Should you lose Westy, Booker might suffice as a flex in PPR, Buckhalter as a flex in non-ppr. If you consider a flex RB a "cuff" for your stud RB1...then you aren't ready to win a championship anyway.

Who's the better handcuff: Booker (or Buckhalter if you swing that way) for Westy or Choice for MBIII?

Seems like both have other backs that would leech carried, but which is more likely to maintain a top 10 status if their stud goes down?

This question is asked every week, the best handcuff is Buckhalter, and if you think Booker would be a viable starter then you haven't been watching the Eagles.

If Westbrook is done for the year I think it will be RBBC with Booker and Buckhalter getting the bulk of the work and Hunt being the short yardage guy.

agree with those who say buckhalter is the guy to have, but there's no way you're going to get half the production out of him that you'd get out of westbrook. a westbrook injury is big news for the WR. i was really impressed with hank baskett again today. i might try to pick him up. he looks like he has really good hands and he's got the size to do well. problem is, every week its a different guy for the eagles.
