CNNSI this morning had a pretty interesting article about Mangini and the crapstorm he's caused in the cleveland office, hiring and firing his best friend, making the entire work place very uncomfortable....

So the question is...

If you were a player...and those two teams wanted you...which would be worse?

I'd rather be in Oakland. No staph and they have at least won Super Bowls in the past.

Plus they don't have ugly brown uniforms and I wouldn't have to live in Cleveland

The Raiders are worse to play for.

The Browns are trying to make things better. They're just failing miserably at it. They've changed GMs and head coaches in recent years in an attempt to find the right formula. The coaches they hire also have some substantive NFL experience.

The Raiders, however, refuse to acknowledge or, at least, change what has been plaguing them. They continue to hire head coaches with little NFL experience. That may be due, in part, to quality coaches not wanting to be somewhere where their say is so easily overridden. That will not change under Al Davis' ownership, and Al Davis obviously won't change a system that no longer works.

Advantage: Browns

Al Davis is a meddling owner. Randy Lerner is a confused owner that seems to prefer it if he could just be AWOL, but he can't because there's no one to run the team.

California coast wins over middle of nowhere midwest

No staph infection looming

Raiders seem to have some talented players, Browns not so much

Al Davis pays two to three times the normal owner

A team that's been to the big show before

Better uniforms

Both have a good fan base

If I had to spend 4 years in a losing situation, may as well get paid double and live fairly healthy on the Cali coast.
