Who is your favorite player in the NFL? (1 Viewer)

I asked this question at the start of last year's season, and while the answers were interesting, everyone named their favorite player on their own team. (Including me; I named Troy Polamalu.) So we'll mix it up this year and see who everyone's favorite player is that is not on the team they root for.

For me, I have to go with Marion Barber. I realize he's been dinged up, and his carries may go down this year (I actually hope they do, because I own Felix Jones) but I love the way this guy plays with total heart every time he's given the ball.

Adrian Wilson, Patrick Willis, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Hines Ward are among the ones I like to watch for whether they are on a fantasy team of mine or not.

Anquan Boldin

I just love his style. He brings the MB3/Jacobs style of running to the WR position. Watching the Cards throw screens to him on the goal line and seeing him take on an LB and a safety and drag them into the end zone is just great to watch.

Hines Ward for me (Vikings fan). Just plays LARGE and brings it week in and week out. Gotta love a WR that is trolling the defensive secondary looking to de-cleat a few DBs and LBs too.

Darren Sproles

The guys works hard, soft spoken, great heart, and constantly proves the doubters wrong.

Larry Fitzgerald and Maurice Jones-Drew. That's entertainment.

I'd probably add Leon Washington to the list if he got more PT.

Guess I can say Housh now that he is in Seattle. He was one of my waiver studs a few years back. Just love his balls out attitude and tough play. Love to watch Welker as well, tough as nails.

Larry Fitzgerald. After watching his interviews during last year's playoffs he came off as a really good guy. Heck of a WR too.

Hines Ward --I love his team-first attitude. I love his toughness. And I love the fact that he's one of the most hated players in the league and he not only doesn't care -- he relishes it.

In short, he'd fit in perfect on the Patriots.

QB: Drew Brees. There's nothing sexy about the way he plays (unlike Manning or Brady), he just takes care of business.

RB: MJD for the third year running. He's a bowling ball on methamphetamines.

WR: Lee Evans. Forget about "heart" or "determination", the only guys who make playing WR look as smooth and effortless as Evans does are way more athletically gifted (Calvin, Moss, Fitz).

TE: Antonio Gates. I'm convinced that nobody in the league (with the possible exception of Fitz) wants the ball more than Gates once it's in the air.

OL: Ryan Clady. Alright, alright, he's on my favorite team... but the guy's a technician in a mauler's body.

Not to rain on your parade but Larry ain't the saint he may come off as. He's young though; he has plenty of time to grow up. Hell, maybe he already has and his poor behavior is behind him.

E. Reed and R. Moss are my favorites.

P. Willis and MJD aren't far behind.

McFadden and Wells will likely be on my list by the end of the year. :P

Can you unpack this a little for me?The only thing I know of is the "domestic disturbance" from last year.

I'm a little surprised at all the love for Randy Moss. Sure, he's an incredible athlete, but after what he pulled in Oakland, how can he be anybody's favorite??? (Unless you're a Patriots fan I guess.) To me, this one of the bad guys in the NFL.

Moss isn't even half as bad has people try to make him out to be. That's part of the fun in having him as one of your favorite players. I get a great deal of amusement out of how ridiculous some people can be when talking about him.

I love Wes Welker. He is supposed to be too small, and too slow to be a wide receiver. He just gets it done.

I'd like to know too. I won't be heartbroken or anything. There's plenty of players that I like in the NFL. He's just the first who came to mind.

The whole thing was buried in the court system but the word is that the disturbance, while short of a beatdown, was violent enough. I don't know all the details about the actual fight (as if there can be such a thing between a NFL player and some girl) but I have this rule about hitting women - no.I will also readily note that Larry has a great way about him on camera and sure seems like a decent man the times I've watched this or that about him; we get a good amount of Fitz coverage here in his home town.

Outside of all Cowboys and Longhorns,

Randy Moss - the term is used loosely now but he is the original FREAK

Brandon Jacobs - I just love watching him bowl people over

Adrian Peterson- IMO, the most exciting player in the league today

Jay Cutler! Ha Ha Not really. I have 3, and they are all RB's. LT, MJD, and Brandon Jacobs. I am also a little envious of Brady and Romo because of the tail they seem to get. I've lost some of the envy for Romo after he broke up with Carrie Underwood.

Witten is my fave.

fave that's not a Dallas Cowboy is, and i hate to admit this........Westy.

others that i like a lot are; Anquan, Jared Allen, Urlacher, Polamalu, Pat Willis, Bob Sanders, MJD

I wish I could say "Warrick Dunn" but he hasn't signed on with anyone so.... I would say Donald Driver. Great character and great success story. I have to give honorable mention to Hines Ward. Both guys are Complete opposites of the pro athlete divas like TO.

I also really like whoever is the last guy to put a big hit on Vick
