Who to keep? (1 Viewer)

I have too many slots tied up in 2B/SS on my roster. Which of the following 3 do I keep?

Robinson Cano, NYY (2B)

Rickie Weeks, MIL (2B)

Aaron Hill, TOR (2B, SS)

Carlos Guillen, DET (SS)

I think it all depends on whom you think will produce from here on out. If you were to analyze them as they have performed so far, then I'd drop Cano. Since Hill can qualify at both positions, you should be good at SS and 2B with Hill backing up both positions. However, Cano is obviously under producing from his expectations. I don't really have a lean one way or the other but Weeks and Guillen are having good seasons and so is Hill. Do you have to drop one of them? Can you try to muster up a trade offer and get another postion back in return?

My biggest area of weakness so far has been SB. That's why Weeks really has been around. For some reason people in my league didn't want to touch him, so I snatched him up and inserted him into the lineup when Cano started to struggle. Neither of those guys has been hitting for average as of late and I've been playing Hill at SS, waiting for either Cano to start hitting for average or Weeks to catch him a bit in average and (gasp) drop Cano.My league doesn't have a whole lot of trading going on at all. People are paranoid of being on the losing end of things.

What are you planning to do when you drop one of these guys? Who are you picking up and why?
Well, to be honest, Guillen isn't rostered at this point. I had him on my squad earlier in the season and dropped him when Hill took off. I'm a fantasy baseball rookie and got a little lucky with Hill's HR total helping my team to start with. I think people in my league have totally dropped the ball in not noticing Guillen out there since I dumped him. I've seen the error in my ways and with both Cano and Weeks struggling for average, they're really pulling down my team's BA.I figured it was time to reclaim Guillen, but one of the other 3 has to go. I figured it'd be easiest to get an opinion on which 3 would be best long term without the discussion falling into "What kind of morons do you play with that didn't pick up Guillen ASAP when you dropped him?"

I'd rather have Guillen as my SS than Hill, so I'd make that move and keep the other two 2Bs. The best thing to do is package Cano or Hill in a deal, but that could take time and you'd lose Guillen.

You are right to think this way. Drop Hill and reacquire Guillen. I think Guillen is actually the best overall player of that whole group right now. Cano and Weeks have higher upside. Hill is MEH.
