Who will be the Josh Hamilton of Fantasy Football? (1 Viewer)

Ben Obomanu had great chemistry with Hasselbeck last year (when he played)

Don't hate on me... Troy Williamson.

I don't think there's anyone in the NFL who came into the league as a hot prospect, got into drugs, and is now coming back and is "past his prime age" (by professional sports standards)....

Henry maybe? I don't know. He fits the discription above most. Maybe Vick's little brother? Whoever I throw out there will be a ridiculous prediction, becasue it's impossible

If you want a mega sleeper, it's harder to predict at the NFL level. Especially since there are only 4 positions that start for fantasy teams (QB, RB, WR, TE)... it's harder to predict a diamond in the rough that NO ONE will expect to do anything. And even if you start a thread like this, and people actually agree on a "mega sleeper", then he's not really unknown is he?

You're more likely to find a stud as a result of an injury to a key starter (as his backup emerges out of nowhere) than you are to predict a mega sleeper super stud who will emerge week 1.

Some guys I like this year:

(Guys I could see sneak into the Top 50 with the opportunity)

Ricky Williams

Lamont Jordan

(Top 100)

Devin Hester (I think his talent + drive to succeed will defy expectations at WR)

Josh Cribbs

JJ's all but gone. Ya know Stallworth will be hurt at some point.

If he gets regular reps people will be talking about him as the possible #2 on the Browns next season.

(He's just as dynamic, if not more so, than Hester in the return game with none of the hype)
are you kidding me? ever watch hester? hester as a wideout though? not a chance. maybe 3-4 years away. guy is clueless.

Okay, I'll throw one out there.

Kenny Watson, RB, Cincinnati. If Rudi Johnson continues to struggle, this kid just might take the starting gig away from him. Seems like yesterday when Rudi was Mr.Reliable, when you could pencil him in for 1400 yards rushing and 12 TDs.

Not disagreeing with you but Watson isn't actually 'kid' material as he's actually older than Rudi.

Julius Jones. The guy has dropped like a stone in a lake in recent polls/rankings.

Thomas Jones stunk up the joint while in Az , but got it together in Chicago and now in NY..can JJ do the same? A change of scenery might do him well...

Steve Slaton is my pick
I too am high on this kidIf things break right for him he could very well get the bulk of the carries and put up impressive numbers

Loved this kid in college and he's got the coolest name in football after Julius "Sgt" Peppers
Me too, he was awesome to watch. He seems too explosive to keep off the field and he really doesnt have much competition ahead of him either.

I'll take a crack at players not ranked in the top 50 at their position: (25 for QB)

QB: Leinart (currently 27th ranked QB) - Kid has a chance obviously with the glut of talent at wideout.

RB: Correll Buckhalter (currently 59th ranked RB) - Has shown ability. Obviously this is contingent on Westy getting hurt)

WR: Deion Branch (currently the 70th ranked wideout) - obviously has shown he's got some talent. With few other options, he could really surprise.
well played....
