Who will be the next week waiver wire darling? (1 Viewer)

Each week at this time I try to guess who may come out of no where to suddenly become the waiver wire must get guy of next week. It would be nice to have him locked up now instead of taking your chances on the waiver wire next week. Of course I would only do this if I have a roster space available and I fully understand that it is a potshot try to catch lightning. Does anyone have any favorites or suspicions?

I'm currently looking for ways to add Mike Sims-Walker to my rosters since he's the WR1 out in JAX now. He's available in all my leagues.

Jacoby Jones

Justin Forsett

Kellen Davis (Des Clark is out, so Davis might have some value)

Shawn Nelson

Legadu Naanee (may still be on some WW)

Nate Washington (probably dropped a few weeks ago when he got hurt. He's close to 100% now)

Jared Cook (look for his value to climb after coming off injury)

Hakeem Nicks (was he dropped in your redraft league?)

Martellus Bennett - Dallas has been using him as a decoy in the first two games. Look for him to have a big game soon.

Jermichael Finley - Probably on the WW in most redraft leagues

Dantrell Savage - What's going on in KC? Why has Savage passed Charles on the depth chart?

Chris Henry

Seems like a lot people who drafted him....cut bait this week.....that's normally a sign he will breakout....

I'll go with Jason Avant. Curtis(what else is new?) and Jackson both dinged. Avant is a very good WR and in my opinion should be getting more action than he does.

Derek Anderson

Brandon Jackson

Lynell Hamilton
Isn't Lynell Hamilton pretty much the WW darling this week?
Somewhat but not nearly as much as Justin Forsett
Tashard Choice.
Choice is the choice this week. Next week might be too late. The key is to get them early. Of course Choice won't be availble in 99% of dynasty leagues, but in some shallow leagues he might be on the WW

Derek Anderson Brandon Jackson Lynell Hamilton
I liked Derek Anderson, probably because he took me into the SuperBowl a few years back. I think he could bounce back as soon as Cleveland gives him a shot. He has to be better than Quinn.

I picked Choice up this week, but assumed he was available in a lot of shallower leagues.

After Monday night, I think most people will be all over him.

^^^What he said.
This probably took more time then typing Tashard Choice.Anyways, you heard it here first......Betts, as he flys by Portis to get the most carries for the rest of the season.....Just a hunch! Cuz Portis ain't gettin it done.......plus I ran into a Redskin Alum in the halls at my work today!

Now i have a new question. Since the motor turns out to be a 305 small block instead of a 350. Whats a good size carb. for this motor. I have a 600 cfm edelbrock carb right now. Is this too big, or can it be tuned to work?

I don't think so ..looks like Barber will play..not sure how many touches Choice will get.

I'm liking Meacham, as he's going to be starting in the slot in replacement of Moore.

I had to cut Henry this week to pick up Hamilton (ugh), so I agree he's a likely breakout as well.

That is an EXCELLENT point.

Philly Eagles D/ST owner, maybe Atlanta D/ST or Arizona D/ST, will probably be making a bid for SF D/ST if they are still available after week 3 and play decently against Min.

How To Calculate CFM:Engine size (CID) x maximum RPM / 3456 = CFMCFM @ 100% volumetric efficiency(Example: 350 CID x 6000 RPM = 2,100,000 / 3456 = 608 CFM) 600cfm is likely too large for that engine. I would downgrade to a 500cfm. If you want more power then get a better cam, not a higher cfm carb.Sorry for the hijack but he started it...

Chevy didn't make a 327 in '55. The 327 didn't come out til '62. And it wasn't offered in the Bellaire with the 4-barrel carburetor til '64. However, in 1964 the correct ignition timing would be 4 degrees before top dead center.

I actually think Barber playing would be the worst scenario for Barber owners. A quad injury is dicey...push it, and it will get worse very easily.

WOW!! Maybe our forum is getting hijacked...

A few names, some more familiar than others . . .

Tashard Choice: If Barber's injury keeps him out.

Jerome Harrison: Just worth monitoring. James Davis keeps slipping

Donnie Avery (being dropped in many leagues): Avery still has talent . . . not sure about the Rams' offense right now though.

Chaz Schilens (perhaps still out in there in some leagues): Looks like we have to wait at least one more week.

Michael Vick :bag: Will he run the Wildcat?

Jonathan Stewart: Too talented to not get some touches (ok, probably not on WWs)

Martellus Bennett: For Dynasty Leaguers, Bennett will not be on the Waiver Wire for long

Legedu Naanee: Intriguing player

Deon Butler: Rook with some talent, but probably no opportunity yet

Which of these names don't belong on this list? Jonathan Stewart. Why, yes. He should be owned in nearly ALL formats and any size league.

Shawn Nelson
I think this one deserves a bit of discussion. With Schouman hitting the IR this week, and with the talent Nelson has, I could see this kid coming into his own soon. I hope Buffalo keeps going no huddle and tossing the rock, cause this kid has opportunity now.

True enough. Many of these are owned in most leagues, but Stewart should be owned in all. Clearly, he is one of the most talented backup RBs in the league. Unfortunately for Stewart owners, DeAngelo Williams, despite a lackluster start, is unlikely to give way to many touches for Stewart, barring injury.

He's probably already on most radars after having a decent week, but Brandon Pettitgrew for TE-mandatory leagues.

I believe that this should be in the Assistant Coach forum! http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showforum=12

Is this legit about Savage? Does he have a chance to become anything in Dynasty?

Link? Curious about the formula.FWIW, I had a Holley 650 on a 305 back in the day, it was awesome.Hmmm...now I'm having a junior moment *(too young to be having a senior moment)...anyone know what kind of small block came on the Rally Nova circa 72-73? At first I remembered it as being that...but reading through the thread, I'm reminded I also had a 327 at some point...just don't remember if it was the Nova or not.Anyway, IME the 650 will run fine on a small block. Also also, Jamaal Charles...assuming his HC stops being a Richard and playing head games with the 2nd and 3rd string RBs.

J. Davis & J. Finley. I think Finley is on most WWs and feel that this is the game where he puts up top 8 TE numbers for the week.

Here's a good link. Too much CFM would work if you stomped on it all the time, but at lower RPM cruising speeds it might have issues. I guess it depends on what type of vehicle you want. A racer or a cruiser. All right, that's it on the car talk.... Let's get back to FOOTBAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL...........Next week's waiver darling will be: Garcon

Yeah, I'm actually surprised at the ho-humness regarding him on the various fantasy outlets. He didn't get targeted a ton, but then again the Colts didn't have a ton of ToP that game and he still punched in a TD. Seems like there would be more buzz about having one of Peyton's receivers, especially since it seems like the Colts might have to score a bit with their defense seeming questionable right now.
