Who will be watching Sox / A's in Japan (1 Viewer)

bar opens at 4AM...off to the gym, then the bar. :banned:
 Sox get some baserunners against blanton but he gets big popups from manny and papi. Manny lookin lean and taking some big cuts. Pedroia opens up the season wtih a hit.... no surprises there.

Manny with a rope down the line with 2 on to tie it.. then scores on Moss's double to put Boston ahead and give Dice a shot at a win. :banned:

He's hitting the ball HARD today. Papi still hasn't found his stroke since the knee surgery but I'm pretty confident he'll settle in. Too good of a hitter not to.

Is it just me or is Foulke's wind-up completely whacked? Looks like he's short-arming the ball to the plate.

The human highlight reel pulls down a very solid catch in center that will certainly make sportscenter. :goodposting:

Moss  Another up and coming product of the Sox Farm system.(#11 Rated Boston prospect according to SoxProspects.com)
Please tell me more about this guy, I've never even heard of him. Should I pick him up. My outfield sucks.
He had a solid spring (.308, 2HR, 7 Runs, 7 RBI), but he's only in there today because Drew was a late scratch with lower back tightness.

Naw.. .he won't contribute this year. He's only getting the start because Drew has a dinged up back. From SoxProspects:"Athletic outfielder with a very strong arm. Excellent approach at the plate - good swing with a refined power and on base ability. Hits to all fields. Slightly above average speed for a right fielder. Solid in the field. Tough competitor. Fantastic teammate and individual who takes joy in playing the game. Moss possesses a good mental approach to the game, able to evaluate his mistakes while still not harping on them. Could be a decent starter on a lower-level MLB squad.. I don't think he's the next Manny Ramirez by any stretch... I'd see him as a potential .275 / 25HR / .825 OPS / 5SB kinda guy in the bigs. Solid role player but nothing spectacular.

Manny with yet ANOTHER 2 RBI Double

2 for 5 with 2 Doubles, 4RBI, 1 Run in the first game of the season...

I've been screaming it all preseason. Manny is going to be a BEAST this year.

Boston takes the lead 6-4... Papelbon up in the pen.

contract year.
Exactly. He's lined up Boras and is shooting for a 6 year deal (lol). Boston has 2 years of 20MM options that I'd be surprised to see lapse if he puts up the kind of year I'm expecting (.310 / 35 / 120)

I still can't believe how ridiculously stupid it is to start the season over seas, then come back and play more Spring Training games, then start the season up again. In my mind, these games don't exist right now.

Almost slipped to me in the 4th round in our draft ;) . Went 2 picks before me :wall:

Nice game by Manny today. Matazaka settled down after the first couple of innings. He was definately shaky in the beginning but he finished well.
He settled down but was still getting hit pretty hard and still seemed to struggle to locate some pitches. I have no doubts he'll settle in to be a good SP2 this year but he looked bad today. Hoping it was just jitters and he settles in.

Papelbon having a rough inning.... 3 Hits and a walk in the Bottom of the 10th thus far.

Suzuki with a chance to earn some serious favor in the eyes of his countrymen

Ugly win... Sox move into first in the AL East

Oki with the win... Papelbon with the Save.... Manny the obvious MVP with 4 RBI
