Who will have a better year at LB? (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to figure out which one of these guys has the highest upside for this year. My league awards 1pt for tackle and 1pt for assist. My guess is that Odell Thurman probably has the highest upside & risk, and Derek Smith is the lowest risk.Any thoughts?

Well, I've got 2 of the 4 on my LB corps with D Smith & Thurman. I'd have to admit that if Thurman has the same numbers that D Smith does at the end of the season that I'll be disappointed. I'd have to go with Thurman in that group, and I agree that Henderson doesn't fit into the bunch.

Ok I will delve a little further...I drafted Thruman in any IDP league I could. The guy fell in the draft and he fell into a perfect situation in Cincy. Trotter should return to form for the full season because he played the last half of last year in form.Smith is always passed by and year in year out the guy puts up numbers. He will again in the 3-4 infact... if healthy he could spike this year.I say the MOST upside is Thurman but I put them on the same teir. I believe Thurman blows the lid of his potential next year. Still a bit lost right now.

Do you want the "most upside" or the most points? Because Trotter and Smith will get you the most points this year.

Trotter has the highest redraft upside, Thurman dynasty.Don't be so quick to completely toss out EJ Henderson, he is still the starting WLB.

The FBG camp report has Dontarrious Thomas as the starting WLB. Not sure where their info is coming from though.

That's outdated. Just in the last week there have been reports that EJ's the starter going into the season.Link.

The difference between Trotter and these other guys is that Trotter has shown he can be a stud year after year, while these other guys have never shown stud performance. Plus, Trotter will be a 3-down LB this year. It's Trotter by a mile.

i darfted Odell Thurman, Courtney Watson and Dan Morgan. All guys with HUGE upside but inherent risk. We start 2 LBs, and I already had Ray Lewis so between those 3 I should have a stellar year at LB.
