Well now that 2 games have gone by, this all fits into one poll question.

The Lions just have to break that awful 19-game losing streak sometime, don't they?

Two high powered offenses would seem to indicate that the Lions need to run into a bad offensive team to have a shot. They've got weapons, but it's hard to picture them breaking out for their first win in a 34-31 type of fashion. 17-10 seems much more of a likely score.

But who will the victim be? Once they win one, I think they'll win a few more - you have to think that teams are keyed up and don't wanna be the team that ends it.

But what do you guys think?

Redskins are not a good football team...and Zorn may be the worst coach in the league. I like their chances at home. I really thought they would win today actually...came so close in both games against Minny last year i figured they were due to get over the hump this time.

Despite the 0-2 start, I hope everyone realizes this is a far more competitive team and will win a few games this year...i figured the ceiling was 6-10...probably 4-12. They'll beat St. Louis and maybe Cleveland...a couple crappy teams and one or two WTF games where no one sees it coming. They'll win one of the remaining division home games with Chicago/GB (who they should have beat last year as well).

I like that they have some fire...some good young talent, and apparently a coach who actually knows what he's doing finally. The playcalling has been decent and Stafford will continue to improve. I'm more convinced than ever that despite some poor choices (INTs) he's going to be a very good QB in this league when it's all said and done. He's shown flashes of brilliance in both games (the rope he hit Calvin in stride down the sideline today for instance) and will only get better.

they are beating the Redskins next week. Zorn is over his head and all those FGs and no TDs is gonna burn em. Detroit almost beat em last year

As long as they don't forget that there are two halves to a game like they did yesterday and several games last year, they should win a few this year. I agree that Washington is ripe for the picking. They looked terrible yesterday against an equally crappy STL team who will be battling Detroit for worst in the league apparently. If not against the Redskins, then I would say STL and/or CLE.

One of those weeks, the Lions will win.

Although they don't look good, I'm thinking the Redskins win. St. Louis won't.

In a competiitve game, the most the Redskins will score is 13-16 pts. Wide receivers are getting open on them and they have not faced a good wide receiver yet.

Another 'Skins fan here. They're definitely vulnerable.

I'm still waiting for Zorn to turn the offense loose. No, I'm not saying they're the slumbering version of the Saints, but I'm not seeing what I thought I'd see with an aggressive passing offense. The Lions secondary is among the worst in the league, so I could see the 'Skins putting up some passing numbers. If they have a showing like yesterday, however, then I like the Lions' chances.

BTW, I think the Lions are another version of the Texans, only two years behind. The Texans have very quietly built a solid, young foundation through the draft and have developed into a dangerous team. The Falcons are another comparable team. The Lions have started that process. I like Stafford a lot. I see good things for them in the future.

Those four plus a couple division games. They're better this year.
Hard not to improve on 0-16.Which division games do you see them winning? Based on how the Bears played PIT yesterday, I don't see them beating that defense and MIN played down to them most of the first half (15 carries for ADP? Really???)...GB might have the best shot at losing to them once based on their poor show yesterday, but I think even 1 division win is fortunate.

 to #13 - the Bengals lose in crazy ways, but they tend to win in these sorts of spots actually.I might just put up a re-poll to take out #3 and #8 to see what the next most likely games seem.I agree with the notion, though, that once they win one, the dam will burst. Teams will be keyed up to not be that team though.I'm not sure that the Redskins are the spot - mainly because of the scare that they had with the Rams. It probably eliminates and "look past" factor that might have crept into their mindset. Wouldn't it be something if the game ended up being the Steelers? Maybe it takes a seemingly impossible victory to end the streak :D -QG

Would love to see the Lions beat the "Stealers". That team is really not that good, but for some reason the football gods love them.

They'll win as soon as the D can come up with more turnovers than Stafford commits. Favre practically gift wrapped 3 sure INTs yesterday and the ball clanged off the stone hands secondary. Stafford is a typical pick machine rookie so he needs to improve before they have a chance to win. I voted for next week against WAS but I'm not optimistic.

The real losers in the WAS/DET matchup are those that have no alternative on TV at 1:00 (although it probably will be blacked out).
