Rodgers was in the lead after beating Brady head to head, but the loss this week knocked the Packers out of the division lead and possibly even the playoffs, while Rodgers' sterling td:int ratio took a hit as well with no touchdowns and two picks.

Watt is having another incredible season, but it's been 28 years since a defensive player won the mvp (Lawrence Taylor) and is only happened twice. Also making his candidacy more difficult is the Texans record. It's hard to hold it against him because of his position, but that's also exactly why his position rarely wins the mvp.

Brady was slow the first four weeks, but nobody has been hotter since, and against tough competition, soundly beating Cinci, buffalo, indy, Denver, San Diego, Detroit, and Miami and outscoring them by a ridiculous 222 to 92 margin.

Manning was an early leader in the race, but the last few weeks have probably taken him out of the running as the broncos have been so run heavy.

Andrew luck hasn't been in the conversation much, but maybe he ought to be. His interceptions are a little high, but he's clearly the straw that stirs the Colts drink on an offense heavy team. And they're a division leader, albeit not a likely bye week contender.

Demarco Murray might have flirted with candidacy, but he's not going to break any records and his hand injury can't help. If the Cowboys make the playoffs, he might have some kind of shot, but not a great one.

Big ben maybe? He's putting up better stats than usual, but the steelers are still on the outside looking in at the division and may not even make the playoffs.

Is there someone else? Is one of these guys still a clear favorite? Or will the final two weeks decide it?
