I am a Jordan owner and I would take Caddy in a heartbeat.
Sure TB looked bad but teams can have down games. Missing the two tackles will hurt but the entire Raiders O-Line was horrible.
Brooks looks lost, Moss looks like he doesn't care. Shell is lost as well. The Raiders are a sinking ship, and it looks like there may be a mutinity during the season.
The league I drafted Jordan in was because of his TD production and his PPR ability (RBs get PPR). With the O-Line as it is Brooks has no time to establish the pass and the O-Line cannot make holes for Jordan to run through.
My only hope is that Jordan was open many times during the SD game and could have moved the ball 5-6 yards at a time. I am hoping that Shell and the other coaches will notice this in the game film and try to reincorporate the short passes to Jordan.
If last night is any indication of what Jordan's production will be for all games then I will have a very high pick for our 2007 rookie draft.
I own Caddy and maybe that's why I think Caddy will be better. Here's why: Caddy was going up against BAL DST who are partying like it's 2000. Caddy does have a tough schedule (ATL,CAR twice) but I think Tampa will get their offense sorted out and Caddy will be ok barring injury.
With Jordan I didn't like the OAK situation from the beginning. SD is a good DST as well but I think CAddy had the tougher matchup this week. I think OAK struggles more this year.
I like Williams too, but for different reasons. Gruden is a good coach and TB has a good overall team. They will get things turned around and Caddy will have some good games.Jordan on the other hand plays for what might be the worst team in football. San Diego ran the ball down their throat and then just came after the QB all night. It was the ugliest game I saw this weekend and Oakland looked like garbage. Art Shell seems like he has no clue how to coach. The very worst thing about Jordan from a fantasy perspective was the fact that he had only 1 pass thrown his way. Several times I saw him standing outside of the pocket waiting on Brooks to throw him the ball, just to watch Brooks either run away or get sacked. It was like dumping it off to Jordan wasn't even an option. It will be a long season for anyone who took him in the first round. He'll have better games, especially since Oakland won't play San Diego every week, but there will be more games like this.
Watching last night's game, it seemed that Lamont can't block and Anderson can't catch. A good coach might start sending LJ out into a route and leaving the TE in to block, which would help his stats. Not sure if Shell qualifies anymore.
Edit for confusing Art Shell and Denny Green :couch:
