I've been debating this topic for a while now.

Who do you think is the better cornerback between Finnegan and Mathis?

I was expecting to vote between Nnamdi Asomugha and Darrelle Revis.

Imagine my disappointment with the choices.

:lmao: Voted Finnegan as fourth best in the league in this poll(Leon Hall would be third...Champ isn't really what he used to be, but he is still darn good...)

Interesting comparison. Finnegan is on the upslope of his career, while Mathis is on the downslope. I haven't seen either CB play much this year, but I'd lean towards Finnegan just because of the directions their careers had been trending coming into this season.

I think this easily goes to Rashean Mathis. Cortland Finnegan is a solid corner, but really he is not a top tier Cornerback. The Jaguars I also believe have a pretty bad Defensive Line when it comes to pressuring the QB, in fact, It might be last in the league, yet Mathis still shadows top WR's and usually shuts his side down. Finnegan has always had a much better supporting cast around him.

I would take Rashean Mathis who is in his prime and has been consistant since coming into the league at shutting down his man and coming up with interceptions on a regular basis.

Finnegan is good, but like I said, in my opinion he is not a top 10 Cornerback yet.
