Who's dropped Javon Walker in a dynasty league? (1 Viewer)

I'm in 7 dynasty leagues with a roster size of 20+ and Walker is rostered in every league. I'm very surprised someone hasn't dropped him yet. I have him in two leagues myself. I guess most owners think the reason he is so terrible is because his head isn't right, and because he plays for Oakland. What most don't want to believe is that his devestating injury has ripped him of his speed. I believe it's a lethal combination of all three. I've almost dropped him a few times, and probably will soon.

People have not dropped him because they are in 20+ roster leagues and players of his potential talent are hard to come by? He's still rostered in my 10 team redraft.

I'd keep him in a dynasty league, but not in any keeper or redraft league. The guy is a shell of his former self, both physically and mentally.

My fingerprints are all over the trigger but I have not been able to pull it yet. The only league I own him is a salary cap and thought it was worth the chance that he produces like he has in the past. If he does not then I dump him to free up money.

This week may be the final straw.

Dropped him week 1 in a 12 team/20 player PPR Dynasty league (He was a $1 pickup in the offseason FA auction). He hasn't been picked up.

Dropped several weeks ago in our dynasty league and not even a sniff since. He's not even a tempting prospect, imo, which is sad after such a great start to his career.

i dropped him in a 12 team, 25 man roster ppr dynasty.

fwiw, he was picked up almost immediately. :excited:

Dropped him this week. Was waiting to see if the new coach might spark something, but same as it ever was. Plus there's the rumblings about a benching coming, time to move on.

He was dropped this week in our 10 Team 26 man roster league after someone picked up that Oak rookie WR, Chaz.

Still hanging on - 25 deep dynasty roster.

It came down to dropping him or Darrell Jackson (DEN) a couple of weeks ago to p/u K. Burton, and at least he's on the field. OAK is a mess yet again :o and I don't see it getting better anytime soon. IF they bring in a good coach & OC and IF Russell can figure out the NFL there's a mild chance he'll come back, but maybe as a WR3 option. I just don't see any scenario given the timelines in OAK where he produces anything like he has in the past. Look @ what Moss was (not) able to do there in similar circumstances.

Hold wise, since our rosters are deep enough, I'm hoping he gets cut/released due to the stupid $ Al is paying him for no production. Then maybe he lands in a good situation as a WR2 (i.e. DET, JAX, CLE)

Or, he has a few good games and you can get a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him. Doubtful, but you never know.

If it doesn't happen for Javon this week it probably never will.Kiffin wasn't a Javon fan at all, and now that he's gone and "Yes Sir Mr. Davis" Cable is running the team, both Curry and Higgins have been bypassed this week (because of chronic dropped passes) by rookie 6th rounder (or 7th I can't remember) Schilens who will start opposite Walker. "Yes Sir Mr. Davis" Cable is well aware that Davis looks real bad after spending a gazillion bucks on Javon given his production so far, and I expect Oaktown to force feed him the ball as much as possible. If I'm wrong and he doesn't see 10-15 targets on Sunday AND do something with them, it's truly time to raise the white flag and just accept that he no longer has it in him to play the game.

Not sure how he can be expected to receive more targets today that last week. THAT was when I expected to see if his non-use was a result of Kiflin. In a game where Oak threw 35 passes he was targetted only 3 times. How in the world can that happen to a supposed team's #1 wr?

I was also expecting more involvement with the new coach and with Knapp now calling all the plays. I drafted him based on his week 3 preseason game (which supposedly is for the starters) where he was targetted 6 times in the 1st half, and caught 4 for 60 yards.

Thought I was getting value, I can point to 3 games where having him in my lineup has cost me a win, including his 1-7 last week.

Still holding him tho, but not sure why. Maybe Davis DID talk him into staying on the team, but not out of retiring?

I dropped him a couple of weeks ago. He's still out there.

Maybe if the Raiders release him he'd draw some interest, but after the offensive stinker they put up last week, I don't see him getting much interest in my league as a Raider.

I dropped him this week in a dynasty/contract league where he was in the final year of his contract and snagged Antonio Bryant. I'm on the hook for his salary which is why I waited to cut him and why BRyant was available. In that league guys don't add and drop at will because if you cut a guy he counts against the cap for however many years he is signed.

Guy started strong last year, got injured and I think that is pretty much his career now...

One of my friends is in a league like this where I think whatever their roster bonus is goes against your cap until their contract is up.

In one league I have managed to acquire every young, washed up WR available ... yes, I am desperate ...

Bradley, Mark KCC WR

Clayton, Michael TBB WR

Curry, Ronald OAK WR

Davis, Andre' HOU WR

Lelie, Ashley OAK WR

Robinson, Koren SEA WR

Stallworth, Donte' CLE WR

Walker, Javon OAK WR

Williams, Roy DAL WR
