Who's giving Colston the nod this week? (1 Viewer)

Anyone have thoughts this week?

Depending on your WR situation. He sits on my bench until he gets the rust of that thumb!

Not sure yet.

My top 4 WRs in my Gladiator league are:

T. Owens

M. Colston

Calvin Johnson

D. Jackson

I cannot not start Owens, even with Brad Johnson in there, Calvin Johnson is a no-brainer, and DeSean Jackson has been pretty solid, so I might have to bench Colston until I see him actually do something. Or I could go with 2 RBs and 4 WRs (instead of 3/3), but I am solid at RB and cannot rationalize benching any of them for Colston at this point. He needs to show me something first.

So, I guess I am leaning towards not starting him.

I'm playing colston this week. With shockey and bush out i don't see why he would get less than 10 targets. Plus he is a great redzone target. I'll be playingover ether edwards, burress or R white. not sure who to bench yet, but Colston is starting over 1 of them.

I drafted him to be one of my starting WRs. He's healthy and I am starting him.

I've really got no choice either with byes and injury to Bush. I either start him or start M. Moore at flex and move V. Jackson to WR... or pick up Kevin Curtis for a sneaky play

With Marshall out I am hoping, not expecting, to get some solid production. We'll see. There is another Colston thread, btw. Just sayin'

Two leagues, between bye weeks and injuries, I've got no choice but to start him. One league where I have more viable options, he's sitting.

Is he though?

Here's how I see it. For the last 2 weeks, it was clearly reported that Colston was practicing, but with limitations. When a report comes out that he's practicing without limitations, then he cracks my lineup. If you have no other options, that it becomes a no brainer.......play him. But if you have any legit WR3 (Mason/V-Jax/Muhammed/Randle-El/ect), you have to give them the nod til Colston is healthy/producing.

Hope you plan on holding onto him until 2009. Chances are this bugs him for a long time.People start Questionable players weekly who don't even practice all week (see LT). What is different in Colston's case? The fact that he sat out to get healthy? I'd be more comfortable playing Colston who went through surgery and is now back wit hthe team for 2 full weeks now than a player who has played through an injury all season...

If he was healthy he wouldn't be back, so yes he's healthy

Yeah, I'm sure everybody who took the big goose egg last week would concur. I'm playing other options til he actually shows up in a game.

Rotoworld:

Marques Colston revealed that he was pulled out of the Saints' Week 7 game early due to ineffectiveness.

Analysis: Colston had two drops and one of his four targets was picked off. "I got out on the field and just wasn't able to make the plays that I normally make," he said. A full week of practice with Drew Brees should help Colston a lot.

Shockey is gonna play. I think Colston shakes the rust this game.

Besides his thumb and traveling across the pond, was thinking about the London weather..but it will be Sunny intervals in the low 60's..will have to makeup my mind Saturday nite on this now.

Its a tough call this week with Colston....

I have Brees and have waited all year to unleash a Brees to Colston double TD on some people, but its just not happening....hopefully he will get his act together.

I am considering starting Roddy White over him.

Not the week to start Roddy. Asante Samuel will be all over Roddy.
